Redeeming amazon gift card that I receieved

Dollar General are an authorized seller.. Probably a counterfeit card from China which is where all Dollar Store items come from.

Not quite sure why you bought an Amazon Gift Card and are scratching the code sticker off yourself? If someone is asking you on the phone to pay fines, back taxes or something similar, it is 100% a scam and well documented online.

Apple Store Gift Cards can be redeemed for most items on Apple.com, includingiPhone, iPhone accessories, and all things Mac, iPad, and iPod touch. Note: AppleStore Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase another Apple Store Gift Card, aniTunes Gift Card, Apple Print Products, or for purchases at the iTunes Store.

You will need to create an account on Amazon. If you already have one, sign in and click on Gift Cards and Registry. There you will see a box that says Redeem Gift Card. Click on that and you will be prompted to enter the code on the back of the card. Once this is done, you will have a credit on your Amazon account that you can use when making a purchase. Any amount that is left over after the purchase will remain as a credit until you use it. You can also redeem the cards on Kindles and other ebook readers. Hope this helps!

Go to Accounts & Lists
Go to Gift Cards
Go to Add Gift Card
Enter your Card Information
It will show your cards balance
When you purchase an item, select Gift Card as payment method

You may have to enter the number of the card or voucher into Amazon first. If you have an account you may do this from my account pages.
Otherwise when you are "checking out", select the method of payment to be Amazon gift voucher (or whatever it is) and enter the voucher number when prompted. If it more than covers the price of the item you want to buy it will keep the extra as credit again yor next anticipated purchase. You cannot take the remainder as cash. If the voucher is not enough, it will prompt you for a method of payment to make up the deficit. If you have entered the voucher details in the my account pages I believe the default method of paying is by the voucher, which will be automatically selected when you check out (but there is a unprompted opportunity to change it). Your voucher/gift card has an expiry date.
