The tray now closes but doesnt open again. the head moves into central position but disc does not spin. reads as disc error
Hi. It's nearly four months since you posted this I know.
But ive only just seen it. Just wondering if you've got it sorted ?

i have the same problem.. but mines a little. differnt.. any disc i put in it wont read.. how do i fix that?

Well if you want to DIY you should open the coves, spay some oil on the mechanics and ensure they are running smoothly, if you spray grease on lens you will damage it, be careful.
SOURCE: disc doesnt spin , the lens dont move up and down , only lights red
Sounds like a motor issue, not a laser issue.

well im pretty sure its the drive thats always an easy fix but if its the motherboard its not the easist thing in the world

open it up and move it all the way 2 the front , then there r 2 very small scews on the back just behind the laser unit u need 2 move the 1 on the left a very small bit in2 pstion it has just came loos, if u go 2 utube 4 a video on how 2 do this , u will see what i mean the sdrew has came loose and it is causeing the laser 2 move 2 the back after each game. this will defo fix your problom.
