I have a HP PL5060N that was given to me. It comes on but has no picture, sound works. DO i need to replace the Main video board, or the YSUS board.

Hello.
Put your old board back - if TV will turn on and dark picture will still present - then you just have purchased defective board. If even old board won't bring picture back - probably Plasma Panel couldn't take it anymore and died.

hi sir have you been check already the speaker as will as the connector. then check normal voltage for audio, if it is normal then the problem is with in audio processor or at the amplifier. now try to disconnect the connector going to the Y sustain then turn on the unit observed if no sqealing sound.now if the sound was gone the problem is with in the Y sustain board check leak or bulging capacitors as will as the high voltage transformer if their is a loose contact. replaced capacitors with same rating a panasonic FM or FC series much better. good luck feel free to ask further question good day thanks.

please try to replaced also the y-buffer board to have a great picture...

normally when the y-sustain is bad sometimes the y-buffer got damage also...

SOURCE: I heard a loud pop and my picture went out. Found a blown fuse on the Ysus and hear a ticking coming from the power board.

Y-Sustain IC short. Replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Many LED TVs and other electronics have bad capacitors on their power supply boards. You can visually inspect them by opening the TV and looking for capacitors with bulging tops. If tou see any, replace them all in the power board section. Check to see if your TV is still under warranty first though.
