I have a stihl cut off saw inside the crankcase it has the numbers 911080210700 it has i5 on the casing, which model is this?

SOURCE: how do i replace the pull cord on my stihl cut off saw

it is gonna take some time,take all screws off housing,pull casing off,be careful with the rewind spring and be sure you have spring wound-up for re-install.

I've been messin with my poulan 2150 that was doing the same thing. Good, fresh gas, good spark,etc. I noticed whenever I loosened the fuel cap it would literally spray gas out! alas, I removed the muiffler assy and the darn thing fired up the first pull! I've got the muffler parts soaking in gas right now and I'm sure this the problem. It just makes sense especially if you use the same 'mixed fuel' can for weed eater, blower,etc. Check your's out, it could very well be your problem too! GOOD LUCK

right by the decompression valve is the spark plug. if you remove the one screw for the valve you will see that to get access to the plug is very easy,

I thought the unit was under the flywheel, in this case there is no gap to set it just screws to the crankcase and you re fit the flywheel.

Hi,my stihl ts 410 saw cuts out after about 10 minutes work,it restarts soon after then cuts out after about 10 minutes again? any ideas,thanks dave

Sounds like an overheating problem.
Are you working in a well-ventilated area or in direct sunlight?
Check, if you can, the temperature of the motor case.
You might have to take a break more often.
This hot summer has stressed a lot of motors and electronics.
When it shuts off you know it is trying to save itself from burnout.

This is not difficult. The impulse hose as it is called presses on to a brass fitting under the intake manifold. remover the filter housing, filter, carburetor, and tank as needed to make room to get in and replace it. Parts can be ordered from you local dealer like www.arcolawn.com

The Serial is engraved into the aluminum right next to the muffler. Look from the top down and you will see it. Good luck

Does carb work under crankcase pressure cause petrol coming out of carb when engine stopped,

If the unit is leaking fuel out of the carburetor when the unit is not in use then it is usually the needle sticking open. This can be from a piece of grass or other debris getting under the needle and keeping it open. Alternatively it could be a bad diaphragm that is leaning on the needle and keeping it open.
As always it is recommended that you take the unit to a Stihl dealer with a Gold Certified Technician for parts and repairs.

You don't give us a model or serial number, nor the age of your saw. Has it ever been tuned by a chainsaw mechanic? A tune up replaces the spark plug and a few other items. It includes a visual inspection and perhaps a pressure test or two. The final thing is to adjust the carburetor for better operation. My Husky 359 gets tuned about every 3 years by the local Stihl dealer at a cost of $40. I have a Husky dealer closer to me but I prefer the Stihl mechanics.
Heat is an indication your saw may be lean, in extreme cases it causes metal transfer from the piston to the cylinder wall and can destroy your saw. It should always be operated with a clean air filter.
The one thing you might try is once your saw attempts to stall is to rotate it enough to loosen the fuel cap. If it smooths out your fuel vent is plugged.

I'm concerned about the heat, If my saw the local Stihl dealer would have it. Explain the problem you are having it may aid in repair or diagnosis.
