I can not find my instructions for the Dewalt321 jigsaw so i therefore cannot replace a blade that fell out

The used blade will fall out. Insert the new blade fully into the clamp. Lightly tighten each screw alternately and then fully. On older models, you may find a single hex screw on the side of the blade. Loosen this enough to remove the blade, and then insert a new blade carefully so the teeth face forward. Retighten the screw.

Mar 9, 2011 - Most blades either have a hole in the shank or the shank is shaped like a .... A brand new one is only about $25 and no tools for blade changes.

There is a blade release that you have to push up while inserting blade. If this isn't the problem, there are many types of blades for different jigsaws. You need the one for your brand. Take an old blade with you when you purchase. Good luck

Hello Aiden,

This Makita jigsaw does not use any set screw fasteners to secure the blade in the saw. It has a "tool-less" blade retainer, so all you need to do to remove (or install) the blades, is to twist the small knurled ring nearest the blade shank.

Be sure to unplug the jigsaw first and with the blade shaft fully away extended from the saw, (you can just pull it out by hand if needed) and then simply twist the round locking ring and then with your other hand, pull the blade out of the jigsaw.

I would suggest that you use a glove on the hand you're going to pull the blade out of the jigsaw with, as those blades can be very sharp with the jagged cutting edges, etc.
