SOURCE: Bobbin Winder won't release

i have a husqvarna rose, i has the same problem when i started using my machine. i was suggested to not wind the bobbin so fast. the reason it gets stuck is because the thread is so tight on the bobbin it actually makes the bobbin a tiny bit smaller, making it hard to get off again. if you dont wind it so fast, it doesn't get so tight.

SOURCE: Bobbin stuck on winder

Sometimes when a bobbin is wound very fast the plastic gets hot and misshapen, and you can't remove it. Nothing for it but to break the bobbin - it's useless now anyway even if you could get it off in one piece. Pull off as much thread as you can and use pliers or something similar to break enough of the bobbin so it will come off. You need to take care not to let little broken pieces fall into the machine mechanism and take care not to yank too hard on the bobbin winder spindle. If all this scares you too much, take the machine to your dealer for help. And remember to slow the machine down a click or two when you wind bobbins! (It may be of some comfort to you to know that every user of plastic bobbins has done this at some time!)

SOURCE: bobbin stuck on winder

Sounds like you need to remove some thread off the bobbin to get the pressure off. Sometimes if you wind too fast or you have a poor quality thread, the thread will stretch as it winds and causes to bobbin to compress onto the winder shaft.
Good Luck!

If your bobbin still has thread on it, remove it by hand and then try to pull the bobbin off the winder.

How to fix viking designer 1 broken bobbin winder

If you mean the bobbin winder mechanism where the bobbin slips on to the spindle is loose, the pin that holds it in place has come out. It's an easy fix but requires that all the covers be removed. Suggest taking it to an authorized Viking dealer for repair. You can find your local dealer by going to the Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us and click on Locate a Dealer.

Did you get solution yet? More than likely you have bad bobbins. Their probably old and maybe cracked. They usually stick on the winder when they get old. Try some new ones.

The bobbin winder is slipping and will not wind the bobbin thread. Is this something that I can fix myselfZ?

Probably not. The covers will have to be removed and the bobbin winder inspected to determine the problem. You might want to take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

If the winder is not moving either there is a worn part on the winder rubber, or, the winder iteself may have seized up becuae a lot of people do not realise that the spindle has to be oiled because of its high speed.

Viking sewing machine 545 bobbin stuck on rewind

It should just pull off of the winder shaft. There is a small spring that sticks out from the shaft to hold the bobbin in place (at least on my wife's Viking which is a different model number than yours). Is there a release button somewhere near?

The black plastic ring must be put back on with it oriented correctly. It can be a bit tricky, but experiment different ways.

Another small part may have come off too. If you can't get it, a Viking tech can do it for you without much trouble.

Viking sewing machine

My Viking Rose bobbin winder wont release my bobbin. This is the second time this has happened with the same bobbin, and I got it off the first time by gently manipulating the bobbin. It was full of thread so I decided to use it and then dispose of the empty bobbin. Well, you can imagine what happened! When it was empty, I, of course, forgot and put it right back on the winder. What do I do?
