Needing the black plastic knob on the speed control lever for my Kitchenaid Professional 6 model #KP2671XOB

It is correct that the knob is not separate from the shaft it is attached to. If they are obsolete then hop into your local Kitchen Aid retailer and see if your missing knob looks same or similar to a current model, if so order for a current model, lever the knob off the shaft (carefully) and tap it onto your bare lever. I use a soft faced hammer for this. These folks here should be able to help if you are USA based. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/

I have a toastmaster t80bc and the clear plastic part that locks down the handle on the inside popped off, anyone have a pic or diagram of how it goes back on. Nothing is broke it just came off and its...

yes I got the same problem, I Fix myself.(model T80BC)
unplug main power cable, remove top cover (remove 4 screw from the bottom and knob from the side)disconnect control panel cable from main board.look at the attached picture.in the photo close to power cable connector will see a slot
(look at the black arrow mark pointed ).insert plastic switch to this slot, make sure both side properly mounted.then move toaster push down lever up and down. it should move as usual without any obstruction. now put back control panel cable and top cover, knob, and all the screws. plug cable into the power,it should work.

see switch

Leg lock broken

Assuming you still have the female part with the treads in tact, you can do what I did. I used a hose clamp, the kind used on radiators, but larger. First, take off the lock down knob, then put the hose clamp over the broken plastic housing and mark where the knob would screw through. Then remove the hose clamp, placing it on a sturdy surface and use a 5/16 drill bit to make a hole where the lock down know will pass through. Place the hose clamp over the plastic housing, insert the knob, tighten the hose clamp (but not so much that it restricts the tripod leg from moving) and you are done! I can send you pictures of the process and the final result. It saved me from buying a new tripod! I can be e-mailed at [email protected] if you have questions.
