Re: Not spinning or draining, only fills and agitates
The mixing valve in the rear needs to be repaced-it controls the water flow Also sounds like the clutch of the transmision maybe be a factor if the machine doesn't spin

sounds like you have a broken lid switch on the washer, maybe someone slammed the door or placed or stood on top of the washer, a broken lid switch won't allow washer to go into spin mode is a safety device so if is on spin cycle an someone sticks their hand it the machine stops an not breaks your hand.
Hi, Do you know if the washer spins at all?
It sounds like the coupler has gone bad.
Please let me know if it spins at all.
I can send yyou instructions on changing the coupler.
If it fills with water, agitates then stops still full of water (even if you manually advance the timer), you have a bad lid switch. This is an inexpensive repair, or even a do it yourself project.
I had this exact same problem. Check and see if the screws to the door hinges are tight and if any are missing. I had one screw missing and it would not allow the door to be level and thus not be able to push the switch all the way down. This tells the washer the door is closed and if it is not closed it wont continue with the rinse cycle.
Does the machine drain on its own or do you drain it manually? The drain pump may be jammed or seized. Try giving the door a light bang with your hand on the handle. The door interlock could be faulty. If the machine starts up after you hit it with your hand on the door handle, the interlock is faulty. Good Luck!!
Does the washer fill normally and just stop? Or, does the washer fill, go through a complete cycle, and just won't drain? There could be a couple of problems that cause a no drain issue.
1. FILL NORMALLY & STOPS, WILL NOT SPIN - This is usually a bad lid switch. If you open and close the lid, you should hear a "click", indicating the switch is working.
2. FILL NORMALLY, AGITATES, WILL NOT DRAIN - This could be a clogged drain pump, pinched hose, clogged rain line.
Also, you need to make sure timer is advancing properly. If the timer never advances, the washer will fill, but won't go into agitate or spin. Let me know if this is helpful.
