My dvd player has a dvd in it and it keeps saying its loading but it won't play or eject and even doesn't want to shut power off sometimes either. Today is the first time it acted like this.

Re:
If you want to get the dvd out
you can try this:
First turn of you dvd player at the mains,
Then power it up,
But the moment it powers up press the eject button a few times so it doesn't start to load.
If it doesn't work the first time try it one more time since you may not get the hang of it at first.
then you dvd should eject.
With dvd players like this, corrupt, copied or really scratched dvds may make your dvd player do this.

You should try unplugging the DVD player from its power source then plugging it back in. Now try to open it and if that doesn't work than you'll probraly have to take it apart to get the disk out but sometimes the DVD players can get worn out or if you have a cheaper DVD player it might just be freezing up on you. I have had these problems before. I just took the DVD player apart to get my disk and then trashed it.
Hi, well even though it plays OK what's wrong is that the record laser is faulty, and when it "Tests" the inserted media, with the record laser to see and set the power levels it fails as it is faulty and thus ejects the disc. Replace the unit, repair is un-economic. In saying that it may be advisable to get a "Quote" from an approved repairer?
actually it is due to faulty disk or dirty lens sometimes , when the lens is dirty it keeps on trying to read the data from cd or dvd and it just cant stop that infact stuck in it , or the other reason is faulty loading gear , in either case u have to physically dis assemble the player , remove the top cover some 4 or 6 screws are there in place open the top cover see the cd /or dvd and remove it physically do not force anything hard when removing the media and then if u can see the lens of ur player just clean it with a soft cloth with ur fingers in cicular motions very gently and u will see that it will play dvd /cd fine , the other thing if the loading gear is faulty or broken then u can ask me more on this
