This question requires a techincal person to first, attach an external monitor to the laptop to see if there is video going to the external monitor? Then while the external monitor is hooked up he should run full diagnostics to see if the motherboard video adapter is fully functional? If it is? He has to open the laptop and trace to see if the plug from the motherboard to the monitor needs to be reseated. The worst case scenario is you will have to replace the motherboard.

HOW TO FIX POWER MODULE PROBLEM ON hp pavillion dv9500. The power cord is ok, but the module must be broke because the blue light goes on and off depending on how how move the cord at the connection site....
yes thia is right,and these a electronics tech. area. try to go repair shop, to change-it. Dont try to replace, bacause you dont have necessary tools. there is 6 to 8 layer motherboard, normaly you damage the motherboard, if you try.

You might wanna try to buy a video card and hook it into a PCI port, sometimes the Integrated video modules fail but the rest of the motherboard works.
