B&D 400W Inverter won`t run my laptop

The inverter is definitely working - have tried with phone charger and a reading lamp. the voltage supplied is reading just over 200V so maybe a little low but these devices seem fine with that. The laptop i`m trying to run is 19V 6.3Amp so should only need 120Watts max so i`d expect a 400W to manage easilly but all i get is the inverter power light flashing. i`ve tried seperately with 2 full charged leisure batteries and still no luck. Anyone have any ideas pls?

Even the smallest inverter can run a laptop, something is wrong with this unit

Your numbers don't add up. Where are you 'seeing' 200volts. Your lap top power supply transformer uses 120 volts AC. Are you plugged into a 240 volt outlet or something? Your inverter should be 12 or 24 volts DC input; to AC power usually 120 volts AC. Check out you output plug, should read 110 - 120 volts AC

I have a Toshiba A350D-S6848 laptop...when i hit the power button all the lights come on fan running, dvd drive running, hdd running, nothing on monitor

Laptop is running but screen is very very dark. can just make out the welcome screen

Screen doesn't work, when it does turn on it fades and I can't see it? Might be screen inverter? or lamp blown?

The problem of your inverter is from
your battery .your laptop and dvd
player requires little current to
operate.But you tv requires more power
to run, if your battery is low you it will
not last for 3 minutes. If your battery
has a low current rating, it will also be a

Hi I have bought a motor home with a black and decker BDV 066 inverter. When I switch it on the turbo fan starts up the green light flashes at a constant rate but there is no AC out put, have checked battery voltage and tried with engine running. Help. Thanks Keith
