We use an old version of Avaya Manager. I recently came into a position that the phoen system falls under me but is so old that I do not have a manual on it.

We have a main line that I followed all the instructions for to rerecord the voicemail but the old message is still what you hear when you call in. I also need to rerecord our nite ring voicemail but do not know how. Please help.

Changing the voicemail message would entirely depend on your provider - how they set it up for you and how you can setup your own message. They must have a specific number you can dial to set your voicemail message. This setting is not available on your phone; rather voicemail messages on the voicemail server of your provider. So, the best way out would be contact the provider. Cheers

I am not a phone installer and we have another vendors' phone system here at our work.

It can be *extremely* difficult setting up these phone systems, even with a manual.

From the system programming menu either in the pc programming tool or from the console phone enter into system programming, options,more, group coverage delay. set here from 1 ring to 9. Good luck.

You need to go into programming and move the 2 extensions in Manager.
Once moved in Manager, at each phone dial *36 to force the change.

If you dont know, you wont do any good by logging into manager, as you wont know where to go in programming.

Call in someone who knows what to do, as you could do detrimental damage to the system by not knowing what you are doing.

Do you know which system this phone is on? Is it an IP Office?

If so, chek the manager program and verify that under eachs users tab, ther is a "Vxxx" in the "trusted source" tab. Where "XXX is the extension number.

Avaaya partner system

It sounds like you are trying to change the voice mail recordings or at least the names programmed into the system.

Your phone model can be used on several different Avaya phone systems with different software versions and different voice mail options. You will have to determine exactly which system you have and the voice mail before starting to attempt this. Look for model numbers on the main control unit.

All the manuals are available for free at the Avaya web site www.avaya.com but you will need to first know what you are looking for.

You may find it easier to hire a local phone installation company that is familiar with your system to make the changes, but taking a look at the manuals doesn't cost anything, so give it a try! If you feel like you're over your head... take care not to make changes you are not sure of because you could end up making it worse. Just don't try things if you are not pretty sure that is the area you want to change.
