I have an LG top loader. I am having problems in that I am left with stains. Mostly white wash leaving either blue stains and the colour changing to a greyish colour. What can I do?

purchase a couple of washing machine cleaners from a local supermarket or homeware store. there will be on the console two buttons with a * next to them, turn the machine on and press both these buttons. the machine will display "tcl" normally, insert 1 cleaner into the drawer where detergent goes and press start. run a couple of times to make sure it has all flushed through
I'd try putting the machine on a hot fill wash, max water level put in half a cup of baking soda when the machine starts to washer turn it off and leave it to soak overnight, then let it finish the cycle the next day. Also make sure you tip some of the hot water down the beach dispenser and clean all around the top of the machine
This often is called "lint" but is really a "whiting" left by un-dissolved soap and can be seen at it's worst ondarkcolored clothes. This is made worse in a colder climate where the cold water entering the washer is much colder than normal. Things that can effect the quality of the finished washed products. Too much soap: ( we have a test for this further down the page ) If you follow the manufactures instructions on the box, then chances are you ARE using too much soap. They like to sell you their product, I find cutting usage in 1/2 of what the box says will still wash good and also cut your chances of getting "whiting" on your clothes.
I was talking toa repairmain about which washer/dryer to get and he mentioned that the Bosch can stain clothing blue. I don't know anything else about why...but I'd contact my Bosch dealer.
i have the same washer and i am some times perplexed about stain that appear after washing> i always blamed colors tranfer from other items .I'll keep a closer eye and see if i can find any more. does your washer have any oders that bother you mine does. for the price i feel cheated
liquid detergent is a pain and not as good as powder. liquid detergent often makes machine smell as well
i doubt there is a fault with the machine. try putting on a boil wash with no clothes and this will clear out the slime left behind by the liquid detergent.
you didn't say what colour the stains are but iy grey or brown it could be from your water supply - a more common problem than you might think.
turn off water and remove the supply hose. there should be a gauze filter at one end and make sure not clogged with dirt. also look into the spigot of the vavle and see if any muck there.
