Screen replacement i need to get a replacement screen for my 61 in big screen tv the outer screen got broken but the second one is still good. it is an older tv but still works great how do i get the screen replaced?

    have a star shaped small crack in lower left hand screen from flying childrens toy. How do I get the screen replaced? is it feasible?

    I have a rear projection Samsung hcr4755wx/xaa.

    I live in Jackson Tn. , and am having a lot of difficulty locating a replacement screen for it.

    It appears to be two screens together; can I just put them together in the frame if I bought them?

    I need to get a replacement screen for my Samsung HL-P5063W rear projection TV. The outer screen got broken but the second one is still good. Also need installation instructions if this is a feasible fix.

I replaced the screen on my 62 inch projection TV for about $50 and the the picture quality is good! Have a sheet of plexiglass cut to the EXACT size needed. BEFORE installation it MUST be frosted on both sides by either a fine particle sandblaster or by sanding it VERTICALLY on BOTH sides with a power sander and a fine grade paper.
If this is only an OUTER protective screen and the image is projected on the inner screen then DO NOT frost the replacement screen, just install it.

I was looking for one myself for a replacement screen and were I had luck of all places was Sears.com under parts. Just key in the model # and it will locate it for you.

Its a 2004 61 inch big screen projection tv and the subject on screen has three colors outlining it green red blue on the outer portion of subject on screen
Tv have a problems known as a convergence pictures problems,it is dead.Tv have R,G,B colors lines mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.These parts on the tv convergence board must be replaced to repair it.To solved tv pictures convergence problems.The shop will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Scratch
hello, if there is a scratch on your reflective outer glass panel screen, it can be replaced if you are handy with tools or diy i happen to have the screen removal manual for this tv model th42pz700u you dont have to dissasemble the tv just the outer front housing remove the back panel and theres some screws that hold the front casing on those come of and the front refelctive glass can be removed without any trouble or dissasembly of the internals just the front casing
you may need to find a selling as is plasma tv with a broken internal screen usually they are this way that outer screen dosent break easily so unless you want to pay 489 for this reflective glass part i would try and find a 'for parts or repair 42 inch pany' they will fit if they are the same size make sure the outer screen is not broken or scratched. hope this help

Do you have instructions for replacing the outer picture screen?
Hi,
I'm muziclady & I had three choices to choose for replacing the screen. The first was to purchase a new screen through Sony's parts dept. site
Secondly I found this this site that makes rear pro. screen antiglare screens: http://www.glarestopper.com/measure2.php
Also from this site, it has instructions for the removal of the screen to measure & re-install. [which is easy]. The actual screen size for the 61" is 58x30 inches, & it's referred as being a 61" Projection TV Screen Only [Lenticular Fresnel] .
My final choice was to Google for a screen replacement. I was fortunate to find a used one from an RCA television..It's the exact same size, etc.

I think that Thomson is the manufacturer or distributor for RCA parts, keep that it mind when looking for your screen. you might be able to get it at vancebaldwin.com good luck
