Windows Explorer will not display Date Picture Taken

When viewing digital photos in My Pictures folder, when I run my mouse pointer over the picture (thumbnail), the date picture taken and camera model no longer appears. Only the Date Modified is there. I have gone into view/folders and changed this many times but still only Date Modified appears over the thumbnail. I have been trying to find a solution for this problem for a year.
Thanks for your help.

Set Date and Time Display to FinePix T410 Camera

The date and time appear in the lower-left corner of the screen, both when taking pictures and when reviewing pictures you've already taken.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

I wanted to know how do i get the time/date on my pictures when i upload them on to the computer

The time and date (and a lot more) are stored with every picture when taken, and the data remain with the picture when transferred. Just about any photo viewer should be able to show you the so-called "EXIF" data. For example, in Windows Explorer if you simply hover the mouse over a picture it will show the date/time it was taken.

If you want the date stamp to appear when you print, please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

How do i add photos to my nwz-e344

Hi,

Connect the Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player to your computer using the device's USB sync cable. Wait until your computer detects the MP3 player.

Click the "Start" icon in the taskbar. Click "My Computer."

Double-click "Removable Disk." This will open the root storage directory of your MP3 player, which is where all its files are stored. Locate the "Photos" folder inside this directory.

Drag-and-drop pictures from your computer into the Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player Photos folder: Click on a picture file and hold down the mouse button while moving the file to the Photos folder, then release the mouse button to copy the picture to the folder. You can now view these pictures on your Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player.

If your Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 (8 GB) Digital Media player does not support photo viewing, you can still add pictures to the device. Drag-and-drop the pictures anywhere within the root storage directory. You can transfer the pictures to another computer or any USB-compatible device.

Good luck.

File explorer does not display either Date Created nor Date Picture Taken even though.. 1. I have added the columns - there is just no data in the appropriate places. 2. I have added the data (Date Created...

So, if you're in the explorer window, you go to "view" and select "choose details", you select the appropriate columns, then click ok, it shows the column headings but no info in the columns? Boot from your XP CD to do a system repair. It won't reinstall Windows if you do a repair, and you won't loose any files or anything like that. It'll just repair the registry and/or system files for example. It couldn't hurt. A word of caution though, make sure you have a recent back up of all of your important files, folders, documents, pictures, and music before trying this.
