Does it sound like the motor is running?
If it is could be the belt slipped off or broken.

I have a nec nw-691, when you put it on spin cycle it brings error message --lid open??? plz help

Yuo might try making sure it is still level but I'd just try using a lower spin speed. How have to use "gentle spin" when I wash towels or my washing machine has errors and stops. If still too damp just use a gentle spin only cycle once more to finish the job.

Fisher paykel GWL10 doesn't drain Previous problem

Easy to check the pump but you need to have a bucket handy. Tilt washer backward pump will be on the right side. Remove and clean. Watch out for the water!

I see two dashes on my cycling computer screen. How can I fix this?

The dashes mean that your cycling computer is in a standby mode. To change this you need to press both the MODE & SET buttons in order to show the average speed screen, and spin the wheel. The computer will start flashing zeros and then will show a steady 0.

I have lost the manual for my russell hobbs rh1042 washing machine and want to look up the best wash cycles to use. i.e. which wash gives the best spin for whites and can I use an extra spin for a wash.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Methinks you could do with another manual for your washer- for now and probably later! Sorry but FixYa cannot do that direct - members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)

By the way normally a spin speed is a spin speed regardless of whether there are whites or others inside. It really depends on the material which is being spun as to how much is spun out and drained. If the maximum spin speed has not spun all of the water out another spin is not likely to either - just waste electricity ;-0(
If your garments are still wetter than you would expect after spinning it COULD be that there is water still left in the drum i.e.not completely drained because of a blocked filter/drain pump. If this is so come back to me and I will send you my pre-typed guidance notes on cleaning/clearing blocked filters/drain pump/motors.

You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C.

Not spinning . stops after wash cycle and spin speed 0 & 100 flash.

the stator/rotor speed monitor is open on the motor in the rear of the machine, there is a rear access to the back of the unit for the drum.and motor,if this pickup also called a "Hall- Effect Sensor" is bad,the machine will code out and not spin correctly, due to this component reading signals from it and sending them to the ECM(electronic control unit)that controls all units functions
