SOURCE: Kenmore dryer doesn't get hot but drum rotates fine
I read on another page
1) One of the thermostats could have a reset switch on it to cure problem... do not know where to find it or what it looks like! ....
2) May need to replace the element...
3) Could be the exhaust thermostat / or heater and thermostat complete/ check continuity...should be normally closed(complete circuit)
Any help to you ????
Best wishes willow

you might have a open heating element. ohm out your heating elements.
SOURCE: Kenmore electric dryer, 600 series, runs but does not heat.
check you're thermostats for continuity, they are normally 3 thermostats, reset stats have a button on them please press, if not thermostat its your heating element
SOURCE: Kenmore Electric Dryer Series 80 110.86980800 burning smell
If this is a new element, this is normal until it has been used a few cycles. Use it and watch it carefully for a while. If it continues have a competent person to take the rear panel off and check for burnt wires or lint inside the unit.
