I do not have wifi - my computer has wired router that is too far away to be physically connected to the tv. Can I get Netflix on my Samsung Smart TV or do I need to get router changed to wireless?

Well, you have only two ways. Make sure if your TV has an RJ -45 connector, if it is, then you can purchase a long Ethernet cable and connect your TV directly to the modem. I strongly do not recommend you use devices that use electronic wiring to transmit an Internet signal. In this case, your house should be grounded, and the connection speed is not very high (4k video can be downloaded for a long time). The second option is to change your router. Not all models are expensive now. You can turn to professionals who will select a cheap and high-performance router specifically for you. I think this is the surest option, but you still have to choose. Good luck

There is a TP link that you can get from places like Jaycar that will turn your house wiring into extension cords for the router
the operation can be explained at the shop but it means that you can extend the wires to any part of the house and by using ethernet cables will connect other computer, printers and tv units easily
cheaper that new modems and routers

My LG smart TV (60UH6035-UC) keeps dropping our streaming movies on Netflix. Do I need to replace the network card inside the TV? I've already replaced our router and modem.

moved you out of computers, its not.
why just do Netflix, there are like 1000 streaming sources online, now, try more, like vudu, hulu, amazon, or 1000 of free ones. endless. to try, in the LG app screen for players, see em?
did you speed test your unstated ISP connections?
did you try the TV using hard wired to router with ethernet cable.?
use wifi test last, wifi is problematic.
if wifi tv is far from router it will be slow.
if wifi is overloaded in your HOOD , then it will be slow.

own a PC, try it yet, connected wifi and for sure ethernet
see it or runs Netflix and say 5 others ok ?
run Inssider.exe program see of wifi is jammed up?

not once did you say wifi, and I bet it is.
we have a gigalan , ethernet jack in every room here.
I pulled all land line cables and switch them all to ethernet
so now if wifi goes NUTS, wired works.
btw, wired not one error in 2 years, not even that pesky buffering error, on Netflix.

gee even NEflix has speed test to see if HD mode even works.
for you.
if others in your home are tying up wifi gee, there you go.
wifi is shared resource,
good luck

My netflix won't connect to mt Samsung TV. I can watch on my Mac no problem

hello:
wifi , is not reliable. use Etherent cable from TV to router ! wins !
you posted TVs to Computers, so will move you.
what TV o TV model stated.
MAC, how is it connected, to your router? all that tells me is the internet works on the mac. as does its browser..
I will assume the TV shows, can not connect to local LAN , errors, (wifi in this case) gee use Ethernet cable.
not netfix login failure
not like me using 3 TVs to netflix, with a 2 TV max same time account.
Also Netflix, Hulu and Vudu all 3 no longer support
old TVs running those old streaming apps with same name.
they do not, (buy ROKU3 , wired)
The went to a far better, streaming protocal your TV does not support, but again, NO TV even stated.
By a long ethernet cable.
no distance from TV to Router stated, nor type of walls between them,(concrete /brick horrible)
WIFI is radio technology at its base) and weak signals.

you skipped test 1;
use ethernet, cable.
this proves the TV works the TV app works and that Netflix, likes all that, with one simple test.
a $10 cable, sold in all computers stores on earth.

NO TV stated, full model on the rear sticker is it.
lots of TV made in 10 years ,even older
and old is bad, in the realm of , Smart screen apps that are relics now.

Network issues with Samsung Smart TV UN60JU6500FXZA

You mention two separate issues, WiFi and smart hub. As you know Samsung built in manual is the worst idea ever. There is no picture of the complete rear panel connection for example.
If the smart hub is the actual WiFi antenna then if your system doesn't recognize Smart Hub then you have a bad smart hub.
to test smart hub plug something into hub ( DVD HDMI, video game) If your remote has smart hub button press and see what appears. Otherwise select source on remote see if your attached item appears. (That would indicate smart hub does talk to TV)!
Since you can access your network when hard wired your network password is stored.
Once you have verified Smart Hub is functional then work on WiFi.
i will say my Samsung is 3 ft from my router and hard wired for better streaming speed.
I use Bluetooth access to share photos from IPads.
I would leave TV hard wired.

\I wish to start up Netflix on my TV

Do you own a smart tv or a streaming device like a Ruko, a blu-ray player with streaming capabilities, or a xbox or other gaming console with streaming feature?... Also you need high speed internet with a downstream speed of 15Mbps or greater for streaming video in HD, an updated modem and a and very fast router running at least 300Mbps or greater. IMO. This works for me.

PROGRAMS PLAYS FOR SHORT WHILE, STOPS AND BUFFERS TO 25, AND THEN WON'T PLAY REST OF PROGRAM.

You have a slow Internet connection. This may be caused be the Streaming Stick being far from the wireless router. The best way to watch Netflix is to have an internet connection of 25/25 Mbps and use a wired (ethernet ) connection to a Roku 3 for example. If you are using DSL that would be a problem because of slow internet speed. Try to imorove the position of the router closer to the Streming Stick if possible. I stream at a distance of 30 ft and it never buffers with a wireless connection to a 720p TV and have a wired connection to a Roku 3 10 a 1080p TV and it works beautifully. Good Luck!

I was given Netflix (stream-in) for a gift, but can not get it to come onto our tv. Please help.

Your TV must be a 'smart' TV i.e. it should have software enabling it to connect to the internet and access features such as Netflix. If you don't have a 'smart' TV then you can purchase a set top box which can be connected to your TV and will allow you to access on-line services such as Netflix. If you have a 'smart' TV then you still need to connect it to your internet router, either with an Ethernet cable or via WiFi if the TV has WiFi built in (or you can buy a WiFi adapter for the TV). If you connect with an Ethernet cable then the TV will connect to your router (and internet) with no further setup. If you use WiFi then you will need to access the WiFi settings menu on the TV and configure the settings for your router.

Can not tune in netflex on my television

Hello Friend...

Follow these steps to fix your problem:
1.Connect your smart TV directly to your modem.
2.If you're connecting through a wireless router that's connected to your modem and still can't connect after restarting your network, try bypassing the router.
3.Turn on your smart TV and try Netflix again.

On my Samsung smart tv Netflix movies stop all the time. We have to login all over!

This could be many things. Are you using an Ethernet cable from the router to TV or is it wireless??? Im guessing wireless right??
The router is either too slow or too far away from your Tv. Try moving your wireless router to a location closer to your Tv. If that isn't possible, you could buy a faster router. I'm not sure what router you have, so google it and see if it's outdated. Some of the newer routers are much faster than the old ones and will stream Netflix perfectly.

Also check with Samsung (online) to see if there is a firmware update for your model of TV. The firmware is the software that runs the "smart" portion of your tv. If it's outdated it could cause bugs like lagging Netflix.

Good Luck!!!
