SOURCE: HP Pavilion dv2120us Notebook PC battery release latch

My battery latch got stuck in the open position after replacing the battery on HP's DV 6300 series. The battery was thus stuck. I used the 'screwdriver' technique but with a rounded end kitchen knife not an actual screwdriver to remove the battery. It is important to push the knife down a little into the groove at the outer long edge of the battery and pry that outer edge up. AFTER DOING THIS THEN GOING TO REPLACE THE BATTERY I REALIZED THE LATCH PROBLEM OCCURRED BECAUSE I HAD PUSHED THE BATTERY LATCH TO THE OPEN POSITION TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. THIS IS WHAT JAMS IT. TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 'DON'T TOUCH THE LATCH AT ALL'. LEAVE THE LATCH IN THE CLOSED POSITION AND REPLACING THE BATTERY WILL SET THE LATCH IN THE CORRECT CLOSED POSITION, READY TO BE SLID TO OPEN POSITION ONLY TO DO THE ACTUAL BATTERY REMOVAL.

Most commonly that is a runaway temperature error which usually means the temperature probe is bad and needs to be replaced. If you need more detailed instruction or help making this repair visit the link below:

Controlpanel flashes f 3

You have a faulty keypad. You could probably special order this part from a local appliance parts supply store for 50-60$ or purchase a new microwave.

My Wold double oven is giving me an F 1 display

HI. This is possible defective door latch mechanism. Check the wiring that links the door latch mechanism to the actual control board. If the wiring is ok, and the rear of the control board is not discolored, or showing signs of short circuiting, replace the door latch assembly. This will correct the issue.

Now, if the wiring is worn, or burned at the control, and the rear of the control board is discolored, and is showing signs of circuit failure, you will need to replace the main control board and wiring harness.

Viking Self Cleaning Latch Stuck

You have to basically split the stove apart to replace the self clean latch assembly. Not easy I don't think. I would get service. But tell the techs not to overdo it on the price and try to get the part yourself from Viking. Good luck.

Good Morning: The self cleaning mode engages, locks the oven on the bottom, but does not clean. On the top, the latch does not engage at all on the self cleaning mode. What to do?

A safety feature on the oven door latch is preventing it from going on to clean. Find the reason the door wont latch on top section and it should clean then.

We know your controls are working asking the clean cycle to start because your lower door latches.

SO

Some things to check :

1. Bent or worn out door latch or striker or catch assembly
2. No power to motor to move latch assemble
3. Board for self cleaning may have fuse out or be bad entirely.
4. Motor assembly that moves the latch could be bound up or worn out

If this helps you understand your problem please rate me as high as you can and thank you for using fix ya. Good Luck and God Bless.
