Go to google maps and use the width of the road to make a scale, then measure the actual width to put a number on that scale..
Then count the units from 2.00 thenths of exit 36 to 30 echo road and multiply by the width of the road.then divide by 528 and you will know how many tenths of a mile it is.

Are you sure you have glasgow as town ?
There is an argyll place (different spelling)

Normally it shows similar names in a city and you chose the correct one.
Is the argyle place it shows actually argyle street ?
On my garmin it shows argyle (gardens, Place, road, square .... ) as one option and the 2nd option argyll place.
I have the 2010 city navigator maps.

Answer: Nine times around the lake. To find the total distance I need the length of one single lap
Total distance = 9 times the length of a path around the lake.

I cannot go further until I find the length of the path around the lake
Shape pf path : circle
Circumference of a circle = diameter x π =π*D
I know the diameter and I need π. I will use the suggested approximate value 3.

Solution
Length of one lap = 3*5 m = 15 m
Total distance = 9 * 15 m = 135 m
