I just had the same problem! If I ever see that f9 again and hear that annoying constant beep....I will pick up and dispose of that oven on the front lawn. Lol. Took a pair of pliers and turned the lock clock wise till the light went out. Silence!
Error code E2F3 indicates oven overheating, i.e. sensor is not cutting off heat. Replace the sensor, about $75 online. If you have done this more than twice, or if oven is acting strangely (for instance, broiler comes on during "bake" preheat), replace control board OEM part #8302994, about $170.
Oven temp sensor failed. It's in the top left corner in the oven. If you have amultitestr you can test it. At room temp the resistance should be somewhere around 1000-1200
I hit the cleaning button instead of the broiler and the oven lock went in mode so now it thinks it is cleaning but I can't close it and it won't shut off the cleaning mode. What can I do?
I have a whirpool oven that won't self clean anymore and it comes up with a FSE 1 error which is a factory service error and the code is a 1 . You need to call them to come out and have a tech fix it as it's digital
The broiler won't turn off even when you press the "Off/cancel" button? It sounds like the broiler control relay is stuck shut. The F3 code means the oven temperature sensor has failed, this probably happened because the oven got too hot when the broiler was stuck on. There is fail-safe thermal fuse that will blow if the oven gets too hot, so the oven won't melt down but you should leave the unit off so you don't blow the fuse.
To fix the relay, you will have to replace the oven control module. I think this is about $200 and not too hard to replace if you are somewhat handy. The temperature sensor is also serviceable, you can find parts at Appliance Parts Pros on the web. Hopefully you haven't thrown the range out yet, let me know if you need further assistance.
