Whenever i try to use refill cartridges , color ink led & black ink led starts glowing.i tried stop reset idea but it is not working
how to reset chip inside cartridges so they will be identified as new cartridges

The error 5 means that the printer cartridge has been "turned off." It is a tactic that Canon has employed to try to prevent refilling of their cartirdges. Basically the machine is constantly checking for signs of a non-original Canon cartridge and has found something to tip it off. We most commonly see this with the color cartridges not the black. The solution is to replace the faulty cartridge.

Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by - unplug cable - press and hold "power" button - plug cable - press "resume" and release - release the "power" button At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware

try this methode
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the
Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while
pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of
order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting formenu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified
number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed,
lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)
