Most clutch kits do not include a new throw out bearing as that is bought separately
most likely that the mechanic doing the job thought that if the bearing was included (around $25.0 aud) that he would not get the job or he ripped you off by not putting the new bearing in
could be the bearing as they do work hard and are mass produced and are known to fail early
a faulty bearing is shown by a tinny rattle when the clutch is engaged or a growl when the clutch is disengaged
if the noise goes when the clutch pedal is pressed slightly , it indicates that the bearing is rattling on the pressure plate fingers and there is a need to adjust the freeplay at he slave cylinder
.it is not necessarily a faulty bearing

engine dying when the foot is on the brakes indicates a faulty brake booster loosing vacuum
The throw out bearing will have to be replaced before it damages the pressure plate fingers.
replacing part of a clutch is a total waste of money as now you have to spend more money fixing what should have been replace d last time. Clutches should be replaced as a kit which includes the throw out bearing.

I did change the complete cluch with the origional from the supplier, but the problem stay, The gearbox is still a cast iron type, and has a hydraulic sustem with a lollypop type fork, there is a constant...

So the hydraulic clutch is keeping pressure on the fork and the throw-out bearing (U.S. slang for clutch release bearing?) or thrust bearing is always running against the fingers on the pressure plate, is that the problem? And of course it burns out the bearing rather quickly?
You will have to examine all the parts, the slave cylinder and it's shaft, the fork and it's pivot point. Something in there not allowing the bearing to pull back far enough from the pressure plate so that it stops rotating. Is your pedal adjusted right? Maybe start there-the pedal has to allow a fraction of free play. Otherwise it is always putting pressure on the hydraulics.

Toyota Echo manuel transmission noisy

Check if:-
- It is squealing or squeaking noise, the thrust bearing is at fault and need to be replaced.
- The noise varies when accelerating or decelerating, check the engine mounts and muffler Re torque all the suspension nuts and bolts. Also have a look in the engine bay area for any loose component.
- Noise is heard in any particular gear, then the transmission may require major repair.
- Check the transmission oil level.

Hi, i own a 2001 Hyundai Accent has run only 38000 kms. Recently replaced my Clutch set and after two months i find that the pick-up is very low and while the RPM raises but pick-up takes its time. What...

By clutch set i'm assuming you mean the mechanical units(pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing) not hydraulic? (clutch master and slave). Sounds like your clutch is slipping. Worn clutch plate would be the most obvious cause of the problem but it could be a faulty pressure plate or even clutch fork. Was your flywheel skimmed/machined to match your new clutch units? If not then it should be. Were the parts that were fitted genuine hyundai parts? If not then failure of the new units is also a possibility.

if you used the car with a bad cluth you may have damaged the syncromesh, it nearly always happens in 3rd gear. Sounds like the fault, the syncromesh is part of the gearbox and most often cannot be fixed without a new gearbox.

It must be the first motion shaft bearing, the clutch thrust would be noisy and slow the tick over when you depress the clutch if it was faulty. If the car has ever been left standing the first motion shaft bearing can dry out and rust a bit then go noisy with use, does it growl in use?

Clutch is noisy, when i depress the clutch the noise goes away

this noise is caused by a noisy clutch throw-out/release bearing, that is the part that presses against the pressure plate and disengages the clutch disk, the transmission must be removed to replace this part, so it is best to replace the clutch assembly at the same time, the labor for both is the same, about 5 hours

How to change a clutch kit

it will be the thrust bearing, its a ring bearing that allows the clutch fork to press on the pressure cover without rubbing the fork away.

Easy to change, and if the clutch itself is ok, you can just pull the thrust bearing off and slide a new one on. Usually you only have to separate the gearbox enough to get at the bearing, not taking it right off, though you may have to pull the gearbox right off to get it off the end of he shaft depending on the shape of the bellhousing.

How easy is it to replace a noisy clutch thrust bearing. 53 plate Ford Focus 1.6 petrol zetec.

The thrust bearing is normally a part of a new clutch kit.Comprises pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing. You will need to remove the gear box to change the bearing. The bearing basically slides onto the gearbox shaft. Recommend changing all three rather than just the beaing. You may want to get quotes from garages as dealers are expensive.
