How do i get the service mode on JVC XL-MC222.
I need to get the code 13 bypassed and i was told to go into the service mode. How do i get on the service mode?

There's nothing special about the original power cord, so I'd go to Radio Shack and get it for $8

The three links at http://books.jvc.com/booklist.asp?Model=XL-R2010 all go to the same PDF file, so I would assume they're the same machine. The main differences between the various JVC sub-models seem to be the country they're intended for and the language the manual is written in.

If you have the eluse XL-MV303 manual, it probably tells you what the video can hook to.
