I´m not regularly walking around with anything that fits into this "hole". Is there a similar way to reset the player as with the pod-series? button combinations suchlike? After resetting my Zen over 10 times I´m giving up. It still behaves the same way just a few seconds after it´s rebuilding sequence. I have the latest update, and no fysical damage have come to it.
More ideas anyone?
Thanx

Let the battery completely drain, and after a while charge it using the charger available else thru computer without turning it on.. let it charge for 50% and then try switching it on. Try this if not get back to me.
I had this same exact problem. To solve it I plugged into the computer (if computer doesnt read it its ok ) then pressed the reset button for about 5 seconds. you should see a screen . Then press the play and power buttons on at the same time and you should get a recovery screen. You have three options. from ther you can rebooot and automatically upgrade the firmware after its been downloaded from the creative website. Please let me know if this helped you and write me back if you have more questions. Thank you , lahuntress
The battery is bad or the charging circuit is flaking out. Try plugging it in and from the wall side of the charger, unplug and plug it in several times. Sometimes on the Zen players that will shock it back into charging. I have seen that same charging issue on several models of Creative players.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8g0sh7pc54 1. Fully charge the unit 2. Get a song to play 3. Lock the device 4. Wait for black screen and leave it like that for 20 seconds 5. Hold the play/pause button down and move the side switch out of lock mode, then push all the way down (like you're turning it off) and release (back to middle position) 6. Release the play/pause button
If the light is flashing, that means it's charging, but it's possible
you're not getting enough charging current to really make a difference.
I would try charging the player with a wall charger (can you borrow a charger from a friend?)
