My Hitachi LE55H508 TV has no picture. I replaced a pwr supply board with no effect, then the main board and the menu came back upside down. I replaced the t-con board and the pic is as below. Help

I would suspect main board more than one you replaced--not likely to get help as Thompson is not known for that--possible firmware upgrade seems likely.

On every set I have seen with upside down/inverted or reversed screen etc it has been either a firmware issue or a main board.

Hey Mike...i know exactly what the problem is, and if you take a look at the video i posted on youtube, then you will have a better understand why your tv is clicking... Most likely it's your voltage regulator thats damaged, and needs to be replaced. SOURCE: just replaced main board now picture is upside down

The connection to deflection yoke [vertical side] have been reversed. Reconnect them.

This is a common problem after main board replacement. You will have to open the service menu, go to mirror effect and correct it there.

Im having similar problem and with my limited knowledge of lcd tvs and the voltages ALL being good except the pwr on or sw on voltage from the main board to the power supply which tells it to switch everything on Im guessing that something is going wrong on the main board. In the condition where it freezes it (the power on V) which switches everything on i get varied voltages such as 2.5 or 3 or (the normal 5v) and then when nothing powers up (blank screen) i read 0v on pwr on voltage but all my other voltages are corect (24v to inverter, 12 v to main board, 5v, etc.) Im guessing from researching this is that there is in improper voltage somewhere in the main board circuit. I have been unable to find it so i may order another board and post back.

Hitachi 55" Plasma HDTV, 1 yr old, suddenly lost picture and sound, but power light still on.
It sounds like a shutdown circuit is being activated. This is normal in cases where the power supply id drawing excessive current. I would suggest that you get this looked at by a qualified professional. This is because this problem may be in the power supply and the voltages can get dangerous in this section of the TV set.

In any event if this is a power supply problem chances are the technician will just have to replace the power supply. Which should cost from 150-250 dollars.
