How to send calls without a send calls button

I have a Lucent 7406 Plus phone. I would like to send calls to voicemail. What is the code?

That doesn't sound good at all. I would first try powering down the system and waiting about 15 seconds or so before powering back up. If the problem remains, the processor was some how damagedand would be best if it was looked at by your vendor.

Lucent partner 34D calls go directly to voicemail
Sounds like either you have do-not-disturb activated, or you have call-forward-all to voice mail set. You should have call-forward-no-answer turned on but it's easy to enter wrong code. Find a list of codes for your system and see if its one of those.

With the caller on the phone, press a "Voicemail Transfer" button, then the extension number and hangup.

I understand that you would like to bypass Auto Attendant for your lines.
On extension 10 or 11
Feature 00
Left Intercom, Left Intercome

Enter your extension number

Line 02
Do the same for all of the lines.
Go to your extension to program a voicemail cover button. Without it being on voicemail wont pick up
Press Feature 00
Select a button and call it Call Cover press it
Enter Feature 15
Feature 00
Press that button so the green light lights up.
Test.

Caller ID
the 7406 will not store any call information. Anything stored would be in the system memory, The newer sets ( 2400) have that capabilty. user guides are here

Sounds like the voicemail might be off?

Is the system time and date correct? It could be that you lost power, and all the programming that tells the phone system where the voicemail is.

Night button not working
Sounds like the voicemail either locked up or died. Try turning off/unplugging the phone system for about 10 seconds and see if it that takes care of it. If it fails then it might be time to get a new one.
