Bosch single oven takes 40min to heat up to 220deg c. Could the upper combined grill/oven element be at fault. Grill OK when selected separately.

Bosch HBN 430520B single oven about 7 years old and takes 40min to heat up to 220deg c. With top and bottom heating elements selected there is no heat coming from the top of the oven. The grill heating element at the top of the oven works ok when the grill is selected. Does the upper combined grill/oven heating element need to be replaced or could there be a control problem.

Oven is not heating. Fan is working and grill wor...

    Hello,
This would appear to be the ring element around the fan that has failed and will need to be replaced. You will need to power off unit, then remove the back panel inside oven 4 screws in corners,Be careful with Thermostat held in place by clips above or on back panel. You may find 3 or 4 screws holding ring element.Gently pull towards you, being careful that the cables come with it.Check element with multimeter to see if open circuit if its ok then it may be a thermostat fault. If it is a faulty element,

get your replacement element, remove the cables off old one and put onto new one. Then push back into place and refix all.

    Hope this helps.

My bosch oven grill element is not working and my oven does not seem to be getting as hot as it should. any ideas what it could be.

More than likely the grill element has failed, and this could account for the oven not getting hot enough, as on some makes, the grill element is on at the same time as the oven element, so if the element has failed, then it will not be hot enough.
My advice would be fit a new grill element, and this hopefully will solve the problem of the oven not being hot enough.
    Please rate my solution.
    Thankyou.

Grill not working on a Bosch electric single oven HBN2850GB

Hi, most likely to be a faulty element. If the fan is working and there's no heat, definitly is the element. If it tripped the mains, have a good look inside with a torch and should be able to spot either a burn mark, a hole or a bend on the element.
    Cheers

    EOU6330 grill doesn't heat-up all the time.

hi Step 1: Check the power cord, the plug, and the outlet. Then look for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers at the main entrance panel or at a separate panel.
Step 2: If the range is receiving power, set the timer on the range to the MANUAL position.
Step 3: If the element still doesn't heat, turn off the power to the range and test it with a VOM set to the RX1 scale thank u................

    Single oven not heating

diydoris, you would have to have someone ohm out the lower element to make sure it is good. If the element is good, then your problem probably is in the TCO. This is a thermostat that sits on the back of the oven that can go bad. You can test this with a meter, if it shows open (no continuity) its bad. Part number for the TC0 is 4450934. Part number for the element is 4448696. Catriver...post back.
