this is nothing do with your printer it is your PC needs to be cleaned out, try defraging and clean up all the cookes out your pc, it is your pc that is slowing the printer down, may be you need to get more memery in it.

http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=50311 the last drivers it looks like that were made for this printer are windows 95. it may not be compatible with your system. You need to register to download the driver as lexmark doesn't offer it. Thank you, Lee
Hi, I hope the document in this link will be helpful for you. Apparently these printers are no longer sold, acording to the Lexmark site search, nor do they have the manual in their Support area.
It seems you need a serial adapter cable to connect. It is a very concise PDF document about your printer and well worth keeping I think.
