Why cant i do anything that requires adobe flash player?. I thought i installed it at least that is the message i get.

Adobe Reader is for reading PDF files.
Adobe Flash player is a different program for playing flash files. go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and install the version required for your operating system & browser.

Make sure you have flash and shockwave:

Don't do anything until see installation complete. Click on Test your Adobe Flash Player After you see the flying box it is installed. Then go back to where you got your error message.

Look for other flash player compatible to your device. Download and install. upon downloading make sure you search by your specific model. example you type to google: flash player for windows Xp or flash player for nokia 6630 if phone.

Since most of the games require Java runtime library or Adobe flash to work I would advise you to install the Adobe Flash player and Java runtime library on Internet Explorer.

the only time you would probably get an error message would be if your internet browser is still open. it will not install if the browser is being used

You can download flash player from adobe.com install it and enjoy.. There is no PC that doesn't allow flash player to install.

You saved it to a location, and you're not sure where? goto "start", sall programs", "Search", select "all file folders", type in "install_flash_player" in the search box, and it should locate the installation program. Double click to install.

Try autopatcher XP. go to autopatcher.com, download and install it. Run it. You'll find flash player for common browsers. Install the patches and you're done!

Try removing it (in add/remove programs) and going directly to Adobe's web site and install again. It may be because of some type of interruption during the original attempt. Even going back to another site (after removal) that requires it and repeating the same steps as last time should work.
