The best place to get the codes for these Becker units is here.

Just send a request via the contact form and they will email the code back to you. Cost I think is around £7.99 for Becker. I use them regularly as I repair radios and the site is one of the best around and always accurate.

take a small screw driver and place it between the white lense and caseing carefully pry the lens of there should be eather 2 or 4 prongs holding it in place ounce the lense is off pull the bulb out (just pull) then install new bulb replace lense and you are done good luck cj

The message to update map materials is a message, which cannot be removed, that just recommend you to update the map. You don't actually have to, but your map material is getting out of date. This message will show every time you boot your unit, and the only way to remove it is to buy new map material.
Simply put, it's a message that "recommend you to buy map update until you're annoyed enough to do it", but doesn't actually force you to do it.
