Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
If that doesn't work,
leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes. If it still doesn't work, it may need repair, which can be done for $39.95 in most cases.
The problem maybe the magnetron, or the inverter board if 7 years old or less, and possibly the keypad control board, by the time you add parts and labour cheaper to replace the microwave oven in the long run.
No! I'am afraid not, the problem is in the keypad control board, the whole assembly must be replaced, the part alone will cost around $100.00 or more depending on make and model.
On some models, the keypad would have to be replaced. On others, the connectors can be cleaned to fix this.
