Casio ex-p600 won't turn on

My casio ex-p600 will not turn on. The battery is completely charged, but nothing happens when i press the power button. I opened the casing and there didnt seem to be any damage and/or signs of a burn out. Please help!

Yes, we have this problem too... and just out of warenty :(... any help would be great.

Does anyone know of a hardware reset for this camera...

Also i managed to get the firmware to show by holding menu and pressing
power on... (fireware is 1.01) although an update is available.

When power button is pressed the lens cover tries to open and then
switches off... the LCD backlight comes on, but no picture... so we
can't even access the menu to update the firmware...

    Please help,

    David and Dad (Michael)

It happened to me. I fixed it by luck . Here is my way . fully charge the camera till the led turns green. "IMPORTANT" unplug the power of the charger first, then remove the camera from the cradle . Then I pressed power button, it worked.

Ex p600 zoom does not realy work

I had this problem and it was because I removed the bezel around the outside of the lens so I could use an extension tube on the front of the camera.

There is a small pin on the front that needs to pressed in. The pin is only visible if the bezel is removed.

I hope this helps

Casio Exilim Pro EX-P600 - lens won't retract or come out

Guys - I know this sounds absolutely bizarre but I recently had this problem with my casio exilim ex p600 (with the lens sticking when powering down and not powering back up again) and it worked for me. Pulling my hair out trying anything and everything, I decided to take the SD card out, turn the camera on (at which point hopefully your lens will go back in) then turn the camera off again, Put the SD card back in and hey presto everything ok! Doesn't make any techincal sense (and I'm semi into these things) but the lens sticking\not powering up and happened to me twice now in last few months and that sequence of events is the only thing I could do to solve it! If that doesn't crack it try taking both the SD card and the battery out and doing the same. Good luck...apologies if it doesn't work for any of you guys but it did work for me :o) Let me know how you get on when\if you try it.

Camera ex-p600

That is a lens error code. It needs servicing or replacement. I repair these all the time. and know that this is common with most digital cameras.

Casio Exilim EX-S770

Step 1: Take the camera firmly in hand and bang the bottom part against a hard surface. A desk works really well!

Step 2. Take off the right side molding and blow compressed air (A LOT) in the bottom of the camera.

If it doesn't work repeat step 1 and 2 again.

I had this problem and now it all works out!
