I can't stop hourly chime in my Timex Indiglo

You may also need to change the time when traveling or to adjust for daylight saving time.

Enter your watch type in the search box and click on "search"

Press the mode button until the Alarm apears. Press the Start/Stop button to turn the alarm on/off and remove/add the chime. Whew! I had to figure this out after my 3 year old turned the chime on!

I have a Timex Men's Classic Digital Silver-Tone Expansion Band Watch #T78587. To turn the chime on and off on this watch, I press the Start/Stop button on the top right once. This toggles the chime on and off. If you hear a single beep then you have turned it on. If you hear no beep you have turned it off. You can tell the chime setting by looking at the colon seperator between the hours and minutes. If it is flashing then the chime is on and if it is not flashing then the chime is off. This is not explained in my watch manual nor in any of the manuals I downloaded from Timex.com.

ANALOG TIME
Pull CROWN and turn to set HOUR and MINUTE hands. TIME AND DATE A. Press and hold SET. SECONDS digits will flash. B. Press SPLIT/RESET to set SECONDS to zero. C. Press MODE to select HOURS. D. to turn off hourly chime on the times wr 30m, simply press (in any mode, i just use the regular clock mode) the start/stop button (top right hand button) once (for about half a second).
  if you don't hear anything, you've turned off the hourly chime!  if you hear two short beeps, you've turned on the hourly chime.    turning the chime off/on is cyclic.  if you press once and hear nothing, it's off.  if you press again, you'll hear two beeps and the hourly chime is now on.    a lot of times that button hits my wrist (i wear it on my left hand) by accident, and that's how the chime turns on and off.  i hope this helps someone.

While the time is displaying on watch press & hold the set/indiglo or top left button on watch. The seconds should start to flash.

Press the mode or bottom left button until the hour digits start to flash.

Press top right or start/stop button to advance the hour. Then press top left or set/indiglo button to exit set mode.
