I have a sharp TV and an trying to CD an Amazon fire stick. TV keeps responding...incomparable video signal...help

The stick is set to 1080p your sharp tv cannot show 1080p change it to 480p in settings , you will have to use it in another tv than is capable of showing 1080p, then just change it to 480p , then you should be able to use it on the sharp tv. You can then try to change it to 720p if it says the same about the signal leave it for 30 seconds and it will revert back to 480p

How do i change from 480p to 1080p on my rca remote

You don't. The TV's resolution can't be changed. Only the signal resolution from the source can be altered.

The TV reports the resolution of the incoming signal before it is scaled. If you have a BD player you can see the effect of changing the resolution setting from 480p, to 720p, to 1080i, to 1080p 60, to 1080p 24. The last three (the 1080 resolutions) shouldn't look too different with a Blu-ray apart from movement because the native picture is 1080p 24 and the TV is simply converting it back to 1080p 24 for display.

What is the screen resolution to the sharp 32C540 ?

480i is the highest resolution of your tv. The tv has composite, s-video and component inputs in the back. The manual states that with component connections are dvd compatible allowing you to enjoy the highest quality image playback than using s-video. Dvd's resolution are 480i or 480p. I'm guessing it's more 480i than 480p since the tv is a crt tube tv and does not have any of the digital inputs for higher resolutions.

I own an insignia 42"

The TV resolution is set by the video sources, not at the TV, in this case, your Dish network box is the one that is sending out 480p so the TV will display what it is being fed with.
What does Dish TV say aboyt this problem? How about the setup menu on the Dish network box?
Your TV works the same as your PC monitor, except that your monitor does not have a tuner, you adjust the resolution at the PC not at the monitor. 480p in = 480p display.

Please leave rating if it helps.

How to I change the tv from 480p to 1080p?

The video signal sources dictate the video resolution being display. 480p I = 480p out.
You do not change it at the TV, it works the same as your PC, the video resolution is set at the PC.

Sharp Aquos Resolution

According to the manual for the TV, you need to change the resolution on the computer itself first.
The computer resolution should be 1024 X 768 at 60Hz or 1360 X 768 at 60Hz.

After the adjustment made on the laptop, then try the resolution change option.

Resolution (video mode) varies depending on the TV type. For details, refer to the instructions supplied with the TV.

2. Select (Display Settings) under (Settings) in the home menu.

3. Select [Video Output Settings].

4. Select the connector type on your TV.
Resolution (video mode) varies depending on the type of connector used.

6. Set the resolution.
Select all resolutions supported by the TV in use. Video will automatically be output at the highest resolution possible for the content you are playing from among the selected resolutions.*
* The video resolution is selected in order of priority as follows: 1080p > 1080i > 720p > 480p/576p > Standard (NTSC:480i/PAL:576i).
If [Composite / S Video] is selected in step 4, the screen for selecting resolutions will not be displayed.
If [HDMI] is selected, you can also select to automatically adjust the resolution (the HDMI device must be turned on). In this case, the screen for selecting resolutions will not be displayed.

8. Check your settings.

Want to change my sharp hd tv from 480i to 1080p

You Can Not Change. The TV Recognize the signal on the INPUT.
If the signal is 480i than the tv shows 480i
If the signal is 1080p than the tv shows 1080p (if supported)
If you try with your areal antenna (for now digital broadcast is maximum 1080i (in USA) The TV itself doesnt "upconvert" lower resolution signals.
