Formatting code for Phone Memory

Hi,

This is to inform you that formatting the phone memory will remove all the data stored in the phone memory ( for e.g. messages, contacts etc).

Formatting can be done by Resetting the phone to factory settings. To do this press *#7370#. Now you will be asked to enter the lock code. The default lock code for Nokia is 12345 if you havn't changed it.

Now the phone will restart and the phone memory will be formatted.

U have to format your phone but before formatting backup all your contacts and data in phone memory because formatting erases all data in your phone memory

To format dial *#7370#
A message will pop up restore phone settings select yes then enter the lock code your phone will be formatted.

YOU NEED TO FORMAT YOUR PHONE NOT MEMORY CARD.FORMATTING THE PHONE WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.AND TO AVOID PROBLEM IN FUTURE INSTALL APPLICATION MANAGER ON YOUR PHONE AND WHENEVER YOUR PHONE SAY MEMORY FULL JUST USE THIS SOFTWARE TO COMPRESS MEMORY.

THERE ARE TWO METHOD TO DO FORMAT NOKIA HANDSET.

1. MANUALLY.

1. OPEN MENU>SETTING>PHONE SETTING>FACTORY SETTING.
2. PRESS O.K. A MENU WILL POP UP LIKE YOU LAST ALL YOUR DATA PRESS O.K.
3. IT WILL ASK FOR CODE ENTER CODE( DEFAULT CODE IS 12345).
4. PRESS OK IT WILL DO FORMAT YOUR PHONE.

2. USING CODE.

1. DIAL *#7370# ON MAIN SCREEN.
2. A MENU WILL POP UP LIKE FORMATTING PHONE.
3. PRESS OK IT WILL ASK FOR CODE ENTER 12345 AND PRESS OK
4. IT WILL DO FORMAT FOR YOU.

3.METHOD NO.3(FOR S60 SERIES MOBILE)

1. SWITCH OFF YOUR PHONE.
2. WHILE SWITCHING ON PRESS THREE BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME.(1.GREEN DIALING KEY 2.*KEY,3 KEYPAD NO. 3 KEY) WITH POWER ON BUTTON.
3. A MESSAGE WILL POP UP LIKE FORMATTING. HOLD BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS AND RELEASE THEM AFTER THAT.
4. YOUR PHONE WILL RESTART AND ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE GONE

Your may have forget ur security code. Now u hav to do is hard rest ur cell phone using this procedure: First full charge ur battery, backup all ur data like pics, contacts, and videos etc. Switch-off your phone. 1. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone. Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show! 2. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your phone will back to original system and factory settting. I hope this helps. Regards. :) :)

just reset your phone by doing this..with simcard type *#7370 # ,it will asking for locked code ..if not change the default is 12345, enter this then select yes ..it will reboot ,wait until its done and your phone is ok now..

You can format your mobile phone by pressing *#7780# or *#7370#on your mobile phone but remember that formatting will delete all the data of your mobile phone.
Enter Default lock code is 12345.
So take a backup of your mobile phone before formatting it. But it is Better to Flash the cell phone rather than formatting it. Take your cell phone to the mobile service center. They will format your cell phone properly.

Normal Reset

Using the *#7780# sequence.
It will restore ini files from ROM keeping all your data (themes, 3rd party applications, video, photos, and music files)




Deep Reset

Using the *#7370# sequence.
Completely format phone memory. Default files are cleaned up and rewritten.
Note that data found on memory card will not be altered



How to proceed

When using symbian60 v1 based phone such as nokia 7650, 3650 or N gage models these two key sequences can be entered in the same way you dial up a phone number. The phone will prompt you to enter a security code (12345 by default).
On the latest S60 phones you can try a Deep Reset, using the following steps
1. Turns off the phone
2. Press simultaneously on the green/talk, 3 and* keys and hold the 3 keys.
3. Turn on your phone
4. Wait for the onscreen Format message then can release the three keys

The phone's internal memory and memory card may be running out of space. Try to delete unnecessary files and free some memory space. Go to Menu>Tools>File Manager. Select the folder or file you want to delete and scroll left or right to switch from the phone's internal memory to the memory card.

Format the memory card and the phone's internal memory if the problem is not resolved above. But it will erase all saved data on both memory.

Memory Card Formatting Procedure

1. Go to MENU > TOOLS > MEMORY.
2. On the memory card menu press OPTIONS.
3. Scroll to Format memory card.
4. Press Select.
5. Select Yes
   
6. Once the formatting is complete, remove the memory card.

Phone Memory Formatting Procedure

1. On your phone dial *#7370#.
2. Press Yes then enter your phone lock code. Default code is 12345.
3. Formatting is complete when the phone restarts. Insert the memory card and format it again.

Switch-off your phone.

1. Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone.

Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!

2. After a few minutes when the Full phone formatting completed, your phone will back to original system and factory settting.

*#7780# (*#rst0*) - This will soft reset your phone. It is different from *#7370# because all data, like contacts, calendar and notes, are not removed.
It will only reset the phone settings, such as profiles, themes and shortcuts.
The default lock code is 12345.
or try this(But it will fully format your phone)
Method 1:
Three Finger Reset for Nokia Phone
1. Switch off your Phone.
2. Hold down the following three keys, Green (call answer button) * (Star) Key, and Number '3' key.
3. While holding The Three buttons, press the power button for switch on the phone.
4. Wait for the message 'Formatting' to the screen On Your Mobile and release all keys when you see that message.


Method 2:
Hard Format of Nokia Mobile Phone
1. Switch off your Phone
2. Now Press following key-*#7370#
3. Enter Default lock code is 12345.
4. While holding All of the buttons, press the power button for switch on the phone.
5. Wait for the message 'Formatting' to the screen On Your Mobile and release all keys when you see that message.

Method 3:
Soft Reset of Nokia Mobile Phone
1. Switch off your Nokia phone
2. Now Press following key sequence *#7780#
3. Enter Default lock code is 12345.
4. While holding All of the buttons, press the power button for switch on the phone.
5. Wait for the message 'Formatting' to the screen On Your Mobile and release all keys when you see that message.

Please Note:
The formatting method will erase all of your Phone data.
Please take a backup before you Format.
