Dear! I can solve it. First of all, you should check your power supply with a cable, when you put it inside the power supply main plug and use a power cable outside of the power supply switch; the power supply fan will run and work it means that your power supply is OK. Secondly, you should power jumper that will be attaced on motherboard where you see the name "Pwr Sw". When you plug with this and start the computer you can see the result in both case pass or fail. If it is pass that is very good and if it is failed then you should change yorur power supply.
Thanks

I have a emcahines desktop T3985, I can't burn cd's. Don't know what to do. It let me burn one but now I can't burn anything.

You can get the updates in the website of your computer's manufacturer.
However, if you want to go for the easy way since you are not that computer literate, so it would be very recommended to go for the automatic PC driver updater called RadarSync. Google it.

I have an emcahine T5224 it was given to me ive tried fixing it and determined its not the HDD because it loads the OS on my other computer and works just fine but for some reason it stops and says there...

Hi,

You stated that it loads that OS on the other computer. Is this by taking out the hard drive and putting into another PC? If it is, then I would have thought there is h/w issue elsewhere in your PC...

Usually if you have a message saying that it could not load windows properly, it is an OS issue which I would recommend you fix by using your emachines recovery disks.

Hope that helps

Emachine wont start

I just had the same problem. Try replacing the battery on the motherboard, that seems to have fixed mine. The number on the battery is CR 2032.

EMachines T3828 won't turn on. Any way to determine whether problem is power supply? thx!

Had the same problem and ended up replacing the PSU. Try re-seating the memory and video card first but if your not getting any power on beep codes then it is likely that the PSU and possibly the motherboard have failed (google emachines power supply failure).
Try a new PSU, it worked for me and was a fairly cheap fix if nothing else works.

Emcahine Monitor sound is low

check the speak rail, the emachine speakers need a amplifier, there should have a power supply plug, that you need to plug it in.
if not, call up the place you brought the machine and ask them, where is the amplifier plug.

EMachine T2958 - No power

You are right about checking PSU first. Check PSU by using a PSU tester. If you don't have a PSU tester you can go to any computer reapir shop and have them check out the PSU for you.In case PSU, is fine there is a possibility that motherboard may be shot.

E-machine 5220 power up

Emachines have notoriously cheap power supplies. Often, while the power supply itself doesn't fail, it causes the failure of motherboard components, essentially trashing the computer.

Try the following:

First check and make absolutely certain that the power switch connector is properly connected to the motherboard. (Take standard grounding/safety precautions: wear a properly-grounded grounding strap, for example, when working with any internal components.)

Obtain a known-good power supply of equal or greater capacity to your eMachines PS and switch 'em out.

If either of these fixes your problem, well and good. If not, the problem may be, as is all too common with eMachines power issues, a motherboard issue caused by the power supply.
