SOURCE: Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gold Series double oven electric model GBD307-PDQ309

Usually this is a touchpad and control panel fault but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.

With the model number of the oven we could look up the code and be more specific about the problem.

SOURCE: oven won't work - its a timer problem how do I reset the timer?

I believe the control's child lock function is enabled. To disable it, press and hold the cancel key (will have small padlock icon under the word "cancel"). That should clear the condition.

My oven is constantly beeping asked so self clean. I just self cleaned 3 days ago when it beeped. Now is is contantly asking to self clean again. How do I stop this?

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

The time display has gone blank. When I switch on temp dial the red oven light flickers. When I switch on fan dial nothing happens

Assure full power is available to the unit(220 volts-not 2 times the same 100 volts). Depending on the model, and age of the unit, the circuit board behind the clock is failing or has failed. The timer board directs timed power for the oven, shows the times, and may have other features. Any elements are usually directly controlled by the knobs without going thru the timer board. When the timer display disappears and stays blank no matter what you do, even turning the breaker off and then on again , then power thru the board has failed. This could be caused by mass failure of the board(burned out-burned parts-vaporized parts) right down to a couple simple components that have failed due to age and don't pass the power onto the circuit.. High voltage is present and any troubleshooting should be done by a competent person for that task. Be safe.

Did I damage electronics after using auto clean feature?

Sounds like there may have been a power failure or problem with the voltage when you were using this or before you did. Try shutting off the breaker for 5 minutes, turn it back on. This will reset the board in the oven. Then see if it works. If it still is defective, the voltage 'surge' may have destroyed the board. You may be able to turn it in to your insurance if that is the case, as from a storm that took out the oven when it hit and the power went out and then came back on. A clue is the keypad lights go dim and brighter then dim again.

Oven will not work on my whirlpool rde350pw1

Sounding like the element is bad for the oven. Can you ohm it out? If that checks okay then it is diffidently the knob to turn on the oven. The switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

Re: my whirlpool digital oven

The red key sign is a lock against children. To cancel it you have to hold the two buttons at the same time for 5 seconds (you activate it the same way).

The STOP sign appears after the cooker switches of after a power cut. You just have to press the left button, and, using the right knob, set the time.
