I just got a new Verizon phone and after activation it won't work

Unless you're Verizon phone has been unlocked. If it isn't, then it's carrier locked and won't work until it's unlocked.

Unfortunately, we are not able to activate your device if it was already activated with Verizon. They are the only ones that can be able to activate it again.

You can't. Verizon phone's can't be unlocked to work on other providers.

You can get a Verizon Sim though and insert it to get to home screen and then swap Sims.

Unfortunately, your phone, LG KP500 does not have wifi support. Therefore, you won't be able to activate wifi. To activate or enable wifi, a phone must have wifi support.

There really isn't an easy way. But, you do have a few options. If the Scoop is still active on the network, you can send each contact to your bberry as a vcard. Highlight contact, choose menu, send as vcard. You may be able to use a program like PPPIM Backup or similar to archive the contacts to a storage card, then move the storage card to the bberry.

Quickest way would be to take it into an Alltel / Verizon store and let them transfer the contacts for you. There is also a contacts backup application that stores contacts on the server for you, and allows you to restore to replacement / different phone. This one only works if scoop is still on network (activated).

any verizon phone should be able to be activated.
try this-
1. turn phone on
2. call *228
3. follow the instruction to automated activation system.

verizon has given me alot of **** about activating any new (or old) phone i've gotten because i dont upgrade my service. i just buy my phones off ebay for a way cheaper price.

Verizon customer service isn't always very helpful, but the verizon website can be. Try clicking phones&devices under the support section. Once you select what type of phone you have, you will see that it says "activate phone" on the left side of the page. This will guide you through the activation of your phone, and the instructions are pretty clear. Hope this helps.

unfortunately there is no way to activate this unles you can get it removed from the lost/stolen list from verizon wireless.

however, legally they may take the phone away from you if you bring it to the store... sorry

the default is always one of these code try them all the last four digits of the phonenumber last programmed in the phone aka your number or 9999,1234,4321,0000,1111 if none of those work you can go the retail store for a flash they hook it to the computer and push software to the phone to correct the issue it takes five mins and its free its a common issue for them to correct if you change your lock code from the default in the future always set up a dummy contact with it in there so that you can easily look it up also please vote for me I'm trying to work my way up to expert level and I cant without your vote please

take the battery out and put it back in. Hope that works.
