Download, and install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then.
Use the free version, and kick those viruses to the curb,
Information,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MalwarebytesFree version download site,
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.htmlClick on the green rectangle with Download Now, and CNET Secure Download, underneath it.
A small window will come up on the right. Takes a few seconds.
I have to assume, you are not downloading it to be used on the computer, you are on right now.
Have a new CD-R disk in the optical drive.
In the small window on the right click on Save File.
Another small window will come up on the left. After the file has downloaded, Right-click on the file name.
In the list left-click on - Open containing folder
The folder will be open, and mbam-setup 1.62.0.1300 will be highlighted in blue.
Right-click on mbam-setup 1.62.0.1300
Then left-click on - Copy
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware will be copied to the CD disk.
When finished remove the CD disk, turn the infected computer on, and put the disk in the optical drive. (CD/DVD drive)
Install Malwarebytes.
When finished go to the Malwarebytes desktop icon, and double-click on it.
Click on - Full Scan
Time it takes depends on how large your harddrive is, and how much stuff you have on it. Average time is 44 minutes.
When Malwarebytes is running you may see pop-up, after pop-up.
So many in fact that you may not be able to see the Malwarebytes screen.
Tempting as it may be, DO NOT click on anything. You will just slow Malwarebytes down.
(Some are real Microsoft 'shields', some are caused by the virus, for example. Clicking on the real ones does no good, I assure you. Just slows Malwarebytes down)
After Malwarebytes has finished, you still have more to do.
Turn System Restore OFF.
System Restore not only restores your files, but also the virus too!
With System Restore turned off run Malwarebytes one more time.
When finished turn System Restore back on, and create a Restore Point.
Need guidance? I need to know what Operating System you are using. [ Examples; Windows XP, (Home or Pro does not matter), Windows Vista, or Windows 7 ]
