Hi fixya
My Sony DSC HX-400V is flashing Code E:62:10 in center screen. It hasn't had any knocks or water/moisture exposure. What is this error and how can I fix it. Thanks in advance.
I can still take and record stills and videos on it.

The flash fuse on the main board or flash board is bad. Contact your local Sony service center for repair as this is possibly a short circuit problem but first try this......
I found a forum that talks about your error. Here is a quote from the forum:
TO SOLVE FLASH ERROR sony cybershot ERROR CODE E:91:01 , JUST GO
TO SETUP MENU, SELECT THE TOOLBOX ICON 1 AND SELECT """"INITIALIZE""""
CLICK OK, MASTER RESET AND IT GOES BACK TO NORMAL.
Hi! Try initializing the camera. Error 91 is a flash error in Sony
cameras. It is probably a dead flash fuse on the motherboard (most
common problem) or a faulty flash board. If you have a multimeter, I
can help you locate and test the fuse and if you have a soldering iron
- even fix it. My e-mail is [email protected]. Otherwise, you
should contact your local Sony service center or other local camera
service center.

The error code your are refering to is a flash error code from the camera`s self diagnostic function. By seeing the error code you can be certain the flash unit inside the camera is faulty.
Sorry nothing you can do yourself. Take it to your local Sony service center. Repair cast should roughly be one fifth or sixth of what you paid for the camera.
You must have an E:61 or E:91 error. You will need to send it back to Sony but, that is what warranties are all about. I am sure it will be fixed quickly and for free!!
