Bassano oven door handle loose - Ovens

I would firstly contact the manufacturer.

I believe bassano is a type or model name and likely to be little or no use when trying to locate spare parts. You will need more details, including the name of the manufacturer and possibly the serial number as well as the model number.

Appliances, like cars, are often badge engineered - where similar models are produced by the same manufacturer with slight differences in specification but named differently because they are destined for different markets.

You should find manufacturer details in the instruction book or if that is absent an experienced white appliance engineer might recognise the parent company from sight.

If all else fails it should be possible to have a replacement glass door manufactured. A local glazing expert should be able to advise you. Such things aren't cheap but neither are replacement glass oven doors and a manufactured door could even be cheaper, but of course a manufactured replacement will not be painted.

The glass is installed from bottom up.on stoves. Call the company that makes the stove and talk to the service department for the list of parts required (glass and seals). Get the new parts and once you have it, remove the door and place it on a table. Take a photo of the screws location and remove them. Clean the tracks of the door, install seals, glass. Put the screws back.

I recommend calling either the manufacturer or the place you bought it from. Quite likely need a new door.

Remove the door gasket, that should give you access to removing door plate. Door handle may need to be replaced.

The door can be seperated by screw on the side of the door, Put lock washers to insure futer tightness.

You may have to get some loctite brand paste in a tube for applying to the threads of the bolts that hold it on.
This will prevent the screws from loosening.
Another way would be to get some spring washers or star washers at your local hardware store such as menards.
