I have sony kds60-a2000. cannot hear any fans, and all i get is blinking red ''power'' light. is there fan around lamp lite? i cannot get tv to turn on anymore. only 2 yrs old, already replaced lamp lite once.

Before ordering the lamp, I would inspect the inside of the TV, be certain that the three fans are clean and free from dust. Often if a fan does not start the first time it may start on a restart. Due to the nature of televisions operating, dust seems drawn to these TV's. Cleaning the fans might correct your issue.
Hi, TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front. Hope these info will help you. Thanks.
Hi, Please check lamp in tv as pop sound seems broken lamp. Did you replaced lamp in last 2-3 years in tv? If not, then its lamp that got broken and tv needs new lamp. Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual and its easy, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv. Thanks.
If lamp light is on at tv front then replace lamp as existing lamp sounds dead/ broken. Lamp replacement procedure would be written in user manual of tv. And if lamp light is not on but standby light is blinking then let me know how many times it is blinking to find out problem cause as standby light blinking is an error code.
Check the cooling fan directly behind the bulb. mine fan is going out. im having the same issue with the light blinking. when i get the fan on. the tv stays on until the fan stops, then the tv turns off.
If you hear the Lamp fan turn, it is probably the lamp it self that has failed. If you do not hear the lamp fan turn then the fan could be bad or binding.

yes, the 3 blink error code is a defolty fan, you can take the back of the tv off, it will most likelu be the fan that is faceing you on the left side, it is held bu 4 screws, take it out, (1 plug) and blow it off with canned air, or an air compresser, that will buy you a short time, you will need to order a new one on the sony website, sometimes blowing it out wont work, and sometines it will give you around a week
I would recommend replacing the fan, cleaning it doesn't solve the problem...If it does, it's only a temporary fix. Replacement fan is around $30 and easy enough to do yourself...
it is a bad fan. it also could be a power supply. Quite often the real problem is dirt clogging up the fan(s) to the
point that they need to be replaced. Operation of the set in a dirty
environment is not a good idea
