Burnt Canon MF4880dw printer: US version of the printer has been plugged to a 240V EU power outlet and emitted a cloud of smoke. Does the power board (model FK33625) have fuses? What can I do?

I plugged my max 110 V Oliso iron into our house's only 220 V outlet. Smoke is being emitted and it is unusable (The iron, not iron). Can someone please tell me how to fix it?

are you saying that the iron works with 110 volts and you plugged it in a 220 volts outlet??? if so then the voltage is to high for the iron (luckily it didn't get burnt) but all you need to do is plug it into a 110 volt outlet

I have a Canon MF4880dw that is printing real light. I've changed out the toner and even adjusted the density setting...all to no avail. Can you help.

Link to download user manual and trouble shooting.
Type in your model number. After downloading you will have to run it to decompress the manual.
It suggests that you clean some internal parts.

Occasional heavy smoke on tickover, but not using oil and oil clean.

HI do you now the color of the smoke
if engine emits white smoke its not burning the fuel
it could be water mixing with fuel = head gasket even tho you
dot have water in the oil
if engine emits black smoke - that's excessive fuel to air ration
check air filter & air inlet to see if clogged

if engine emits blue smoke - excessive oil consumption
cloud be valve seals

I have a coleman powermate maxa 5000 er Generator. Model # PM0525202. The powercord plug came loose and burnt the plug and the receptical(240). I replaced the plug and receptical and I am not getting...

If this is the model I am thinking of, there are 3 outlets. One 240V (L1, L2, Neutral and Earth ground. Some models use a 3 terminal receptacle that combines Neutral and earth.), one 120V receptacle (L1, Neut, earth) and another 120V receptacle (L2, Neut, earth).

If you verified fuse and circuit breakers are good, turn on the generator and verify you get 120V on each of the two outlets. Measuring between the narrow blades of the two 120V outlets should be 240V.
***Shut off the generator.
With a test light or ohmmeter, check continuity from the earth terminal of 120V outlets to 240V outlet. Likewise for neutral (wider blade on 120V outlet). Lastly, check continuity from Narrow blade of each outlet to the 240V outlet.

I suspect that you miswired neutral and earth. On a 4 wire PLUG, it is customary to connect earth and neutral.

Work safely so you can give feedback.

Will kitchen aid purchased in USA work in australia?

The Australian outlets will zap that blender - you need to purchase a 240V to 120V transformer in order to make it work.

Power adaptors/ travelling/ aptop

Yes, it is a switching power supply meaning that it automatically detects 120v (US) or 240v (EU) voltage. The only thing you might need is an adapter to convert the actual plug in from US to EU standards; they can be picked up for just a few dollars.
