The exact same thing happened to my Audiovox pvs33116. It was playing a video for my two year old. Now - nothing - no power light - no sign it is active at all.

When I plug mine in, you can see the red light in front for 2 or 3 seconds and if you watch real close you can see some flickering on the screen. This happens whether the unit is switched on or off, but only happens for that brief time right after it is plugged in...then nothing. Audiovox says they will fix it for 79.95! HELP!

Apparently Audiovox does not support the pvs33116 dvd player. Nor does the manufacturer Alco. Support and accessories can be found at http://www.1800customersupport.com/products.aspx?type=pad&view=1385&p=75&sc=5

Thus one can purchase a $15.00 ac adapter, $20.00 battery, or a $10 dc adapter for a dvd player that's worth about 10 cents.

When i load a disk it sayd loading then it says no disk

Grab a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol, gently clean laser lens and allow several minutes to dry, if this fails! it is cheaper to replace the player.

Hi,

If you take a look the the following Audiovox link, and enter your model number, it should be able to find a service center near you. Alternatively there is a link there to contact Customer Services who would be able to advise you by email.

And if that doesn't work, try carefully unscrewing the screen and the hinge and reseat the tiny connectors of ribbon wire and wiring harnesses.
