To Connect to a wireless network use a wireless link stick into one of the USB ports. Once connected, a question, switch to a wireless network will appear, Select YES. And your TV will connect to the network.
If your TV does not recognize your WIFI link stick, you will manually set up a wireless connection. Press MENU button on your TV remote. Now select the SET UP portion on the menu. In the SET UP menu, select NETWORK,make sure the to select on the Network Type is WIRELESS.Then Select NETWORK SET UP, choose select the network. When your wireless network is found, select it from the list. ENTER your PASSWORD. the press the OK/ENTER on the remote. Then your TV will start to connect.
The IP address is assigned by your wireless router and can change anytime a new connection is made. Most routers use a support program (I use Netgear and the support program is called NETGEAR Genie, and has a an icon at the bottom right of the screen that I can click on.) This support program will show a map of all connected devices and what IP Address is assigned to each.
If you're trying to connect your TV to your wireless setup, you go through the connection program and select the wireless router to make the connection with ( you may see your neighbors router or a wireless printer or two, just select the router) and enter the PASSCODE (a silly phrase such as bebopbaloola69 or some such nonsense that would be difficult to guess) usually on the side or bottom of the router.
If you reset the router, it will come back to factory default settings and you will have to reconfigure it. Connect the computer to the router. Open the setup page of the router and check the wireless settings.
Are you referring to the password required to connect to your wireless network called "Netgear"? I assume you're being asked for a password on the 2nd computer when trying to connect to the wireless network called "Netgear".
In a web browser, enter the router's IP address - either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 by default.
When prompted for a Username and Password, enter the default username and password (admin; password) unless you have already changed it. NETGEAR recommends changing the default password to increase the security of your network.
Select Wireless Settings from the Setup menu in the left-hand navigation bar.
Under Wireless Network, enter your desired network name in the Name (SSID) box. This is currently set to "Netgear" most likely.
Under Security Options, select WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES].
Under Security Options (WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK), enter your desired network password into the Passphrase box.
WRITE DOWN or KEEP NOTE of your network name, security option and passphrase - you will require them to connect wireless computers and devices to your network.
Click Apply to save the settings.
Once you've set this password, you can use it to connect to "Netgear" on your second computer.
If you have lost the password to access the router page then you have to reset the router
Ensure that you have all the details regarding your internet connection before resetting the router
If you reset the router you can run the smart setup wizard and get connected by entering correct information in all the pages of the wizard
If you are looking for the wireless password: -------------------------------------------------------------- Access your router page ( Open Internet Explorer --> Type 192.168.1.1 and enter it--> Login name(default)-admin, Password(default)-password) --> GO to wireless settings, under Wireless settings you will find the wireless password.
please confirm if the router is a 6104K, or a KP or Wg or another model as the K and KP are not wireless, a "W" will denote wireless capability...
Not all manuals are available for download from the Edimax website but heres a start...
Connect the router to your PC with a cable... leave the modem disconnected to start with
open internet explorer and type in enter the default IP address 192.168.2.1 (broadband router’s IP address) into your PC’s web browser and press <enter>
This should bring up a user/password dialog box. By default the user name is "admin" and the password is "1234".
Confirm you are getting this far and we'll go the next steps
