Why my internet is working very slow?

You need to DeFrag your computer, and remove un-necessary information from your hard drive, Put it on an external drive or stick.. the computer will run as fast as day 1. ( like going up a hill with a LOADED truck)

Ive been having problems with my internet connection i have called my ISP and they've sent people to my house to fix it but every time my internet connection has gotten worse my modem is RCA model:DCM425...

Cable internet is a bit trickier to troubleshoot because it uses coaxial/optical infrastructure from your ISP to your home. Also, depending on the fine print of your contract, you may be stuck with them. Usually ISPs have a clause that they'll deliver UP TO 15mbps but they dont guarantee that you'll get that speed. Your browsing speed depends on the quality of cabling, distance from their main facility, distance from the closest optical link, distance from the closest amplifier, and amount of connections drawing connection from that same amplifier.
I'd also suggest that you run pingtest.net and see the quality of your connection when the internet feels fast, and when you think it's slow. Raw speed is not the decisive measurement. It's mostly a marketing trick. Usually, what matters is the ping rate and jitter. In other words, how fast two computers can communicate both ways without losing the integrity of the connection (ping) and what is the amount of noise (jitter).

You have a slow computer. To speed up page loading you might want to add an ad blocker to your browser to speed things up since the ads take up memory resources and slow down your computer.

How to down load youtube videos fast

The downloading speed depends on your own Internet connection, i.e. bandwidth. For downloading tools, Leawo Free YouTube Downloader is fine - http://www.leawo.com/youtube-download/ It can download FLV videos from YouTube and other websites, and is free.

Facebook wont load on my computer. when i type in the web address, it takes me to the internet explorer cannot display this page.

Only facebook does this? No other websites?

If so then your connection is fine, so check the following things:

1) Have you typed the URL correctly? (http://www.facebook.com)

2) Last resort; Download a new browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Google Chrome) <-- Personal preference for me is google Chrome.

Hope this helped

Go to start all programs accessories and then system tools and run disk cleanup. It will probably take a while. When the box comes up and ask what to delete check every box and continue. Let it finish it may take awhile..But I promise your computer will speed up. After you have finished that go to tools on task bar while the internet is open and delete all browsing history....Good Luck,,,,Darren

Computers

Hi,

There are couple of troubleshootig steps which needs to be performed inorder to help get a web page load faster.

Go to Tools/options/ and delete the history, cached pages, cookies, password etc. Might want to ignore favourites.

Also type temp in run command line and then delete the files from the folder. This helps to increase the processing speed as well as the browsing speed of the accer.

This works with IE 6/7/8 though.

Thanks

My web pages takeforever to load, ow can i solve te prob? i am using a wireless connection

You may need to adjust some of the wireless settings of the router to speed up the wireless internet connection of your computer , You can do that by accessing the router setup page by typing its IP address on the computer that is working fine with the router and if you're not sure on how to do that I advice you to contact this number for technical help 1-877-787-8749 they are open 24/7.......

Fast Page Loads Slow Downloads

it really depends on how far you are from your Router. The farther you go, the weaker the signal gets resulting in slower speeds. Slower speeds will not affect web page load times (they are tiny parts of data) but will definately affect download speeds. You need to be as close to the router as possible or get perfect range. You can put the router at higher elevation in the room to get a better range to start with. Let me know if this works for you.
