When bowl is engaged motor doesn't start. Bought a new bowl but same problem. Either the white plastic piece under the handle is too short or connection too low. When manually depressed motor works. Jug connects ok.
SOURCE: The plastic ? bowl of the processor is stuck
With the food processor I have it will not allow you to remove the bowl unless the top is off.Try take the top off or putting it on.Then remove it from the processor.

Is the cover assembly engaged and locked into place? If you can't lock the cover into place, it's possible that part of the plastic on the cover assembly is broken and not engaging the white rod inside the bowl. Determine which part is at fault (either the bowl or the cover assembly) and replace it.
SOURCE: bowl handle doesn't make connection
I had this problem, I finally stuffed a tiny piece of tin foil into the hole the spring is supposed to go into to activate the machine. It works, but it is always on, even if the bowl is not locked into place so I have to be careful. I just store it unplugged.
SOURCE: Have a sunbeam oster kitchen
I have an Oster Kitchen Center by sunbeam. It has the mixer, blender and food processor. When I attach the processor to try to use it the blades do not spin. If I push the siler know down with an objest it will turn. Am I missing some little piece to make it work.
