If you are using the SmartThru software, the otpion to change the scanned format is in the same screen where you state the name of the document and settings for color, resolution, and others.

may be ADF lence is very dirty so your scnning problem.Clean the lence throughly glass cleaner then solve your problem.

How can i operate the scx 4521f scanning over an office network? so far i can do printing. but i cannot find a driver to do scanning over my network. i can only do direct connection to usb. Using windows...
If you have Windows 7, you should be able to scan over the network, but you should make sure that you computer you are using to view the scanned document is logged into the 'administrator' account and not the guest account to become part of the 'home' group.

Please installed smart throu software for the sam, available on samsung website, install the software and scan from your computer, and let me know if this works or not.

Leopard comes pre-installed with drivers, but may not have every model available.

To scan a legal size, use ADF face upward also if you are using smar thru setting to legal size, then scan.
