SOURCE: paper either just rolls through without printing or won't catch and sits there

Me again. I had to get a repairman to come out and he basically CLEANED the bejeezus out of the rubber roller section that pulls the paper through. Seems alright again. For now... He used a solvent (said lighter fluid was okay for this purpose- because I had some on hand from a friend who uses it for cleaning such thing, and he fixes printers as part of his work). He wetted a rag with the solvent, and wearing rubber gloves, worked those rubber rollers over good. That seems to be the answer.

SOURCE: epson stylus pohoto 830u paper feed

I'm afraid this series of printer (810 -830) doesn't handle heavy photo paper well - which is a bit strange for a so-called photo printer. If you hold each sheet and help it to feed it will work. But ...... for goodness sake. Your best bet is to sell it on e-bay and buy something that will handle heavy paper.

Open the printer cover and look closely for tiny paper shreds that might got stuck between the rollers. If you have a canned air, try blowing out the paper path as those tiny piece of paper might be blocking the paper sensor.

Testimonial: "tried blowing and dusting with a brush Now it comes on as normal - no flashing light but will only take paper about 2 cms then flashes paperjam"

Have you taken out the spacer between the cartridge and its locater handle? Else just try taking the cartridge out and re-inserting. If this fails have you tried powering the printer off, waiting 20 secs, and truning back on.

Hop this helps.

Why is my Epson WF 2530 double shadow printing?

Allen, that's very unusual. I've been using a workforce printer for years, and haven't ever seen anything like that.
What paper are you using, and what paper setting in your computer?
When you rand a nozzle test, were the nozzle lines even, or did some look kind of out of place? (a deflected nozzle will give that gosting effect, and "underhead cleaning" is the answer)

Paper not feeding for epson nx400

Check the following:

  • • If paper doesn't feed, remove it from the sheet feeder. Reload it against the right side, behind the tab, then press in the tab on the edge guide and slide it against the paper. Make sure the paper is not above the arrow mark inside the edge guide.

  • • If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper from the sheet feeder, fan the edges to separate the sheets, then reload it.

  • • If the paper doesn't eject fully, you may have set the wrong paper size. Press the c:\users\home\appdata\local\temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.gif Stop button, then open the scanner and remove the paper. Select the correct paper size when you reprint.

  • • If it's wrinkled when it ejects, the paper may be damp or too thin. Load new paper.

  • • Make sure you use new, smooth, high-quality paper, that is not curled, creased, old, or too thin. Make sure to load it printable side up.

  • • Do not load paper with holes punched in it for insertion in a binder.

  • • Make sure you load only up to the recommended number of sheets. If you're printing on both sides of the paper, try loading fewer sheets.

• If the paper jams, do the following:

1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output tray or sheet feeder.

2. To eject the jammed paper, try turning the Epson Stylus NX400 off and then back on.

If that doesn't work and paper is stuck inside, turn off the Epson Stylus NX400. Open the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, close the scanner, and turn the Epson Stylus NX400 back on.

PLSE HELP IM TRYING TO PRINT BUT NOTHINGS HAPPENING, IT IS ALL SET UP

test the printer first, so that we can isolate the issue. print a nozzle check to eliminate the possibility that the nozzles are clogged by dried inks. if nozzle check prints blank page or it printedr but w/ gaps or breaks, do head cleaning

Check the Print Head Nozzles: 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series. 3. Hold down the cx4400_ug.1.79.1.jpg Stop button as you press the cx4400_ug.1.79.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the cx4400_ug.1.79.3.jpg On light begins to flash, then release the buttons. cx4400_ug.1.79.4.jpg 4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. cx4400_ug.1.79.5.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. Clean the Print Head Nozzles: 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Hold down the cx4400_ug.1.80.1.jpg Stop button for at least 4 seconds to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts around 1 minute. cx4400_ug.1.80.2.jpg The cx4400_ug.1.80.3.jpg On light flashes throughout the cleaning cycle and stays on green when the cycle is finished. Caution:
Never turn off the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it. 3. Run a nozzle check to confirm that the print head is clean. You may need to clean the print head up to 2 times. You can also turn the Epson Stylus CX4400 Series off and wait at least 6 hours. Then try printing again.

Does not print

***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
the nozzles of the printer might be clogged by dried inks thats why when your printing, its feeding the paper, as if its printing but no inks on the paper. print a nozzle check to see which part or color have clogs, if there are gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill no more gaps then try printing.
Running a Printer Check
1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus NX100 Series. 3. Hold down the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.1.jpg Stop button as you press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus NX100 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.3.jpg On light begins to flash, then release the buttons. 4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.5.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. If your printouts are unexpectedly light, or dots or lines are missing, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.
You can also clean the print head by holding down the stop button on the printer for three seconds. (This only works when the red ink light is off.) Run a nozzle check to confirm that the print head is clean.
Caution: When you don’t turn on your printer for a long time, print quality can decline, so turn it on and print a few pages at least once a month to maintain good print quality. ***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****

Paper won't feed

My CX4800 developed the same problem. It was an excellent machine until then. I tried everything I could think of, and finally decided it must be the rather large feed in rollers at the right of the paper bin (one below and one above the paper) that had worn too smooth to pull the paper in. It works fine if I will give the sheet a "push" when it starts to go down - but who has time to stand there and push each piece in! It would really be nice if Epson would provide us with inexpensive replacement rollers and instructions for installing them. Guess they had rather we just buy a new printer - which I did, a CX7800, only to find that it will not take the heavy weight photo paper. :-(

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Nothing comes out when I print

Epson 777 will not print. No paper jam. Power light flashing; red error light on steady. Paper does not feed; if paper supply is placed deeper in feed, entire paper supply (about 12 sheets) feeds thru as one sheet normally would , without printing.

Cannot restore the settings of printer like the tear of on the keybord... what did do to restore the settings of this printer... i cannot print  the print out is a symbol . same on the printest on the...

Hi,

To do a Default Setting Mode to an Epson LX300+, you need to:
1. Power OFF the printer (for at least 10 seconds or more);
2. Press Tear Off button while simultaneously powering ON;
3. Release button, maintain power ON, printer will print basic/default settings.

At most times, it is the parallel/printer cable that gets dislodged. loosely connected or perhaps would even require replacement.

Should you want to do a printer self-test on an Epson LX300+:
Printer's Self-Test - The built-in self test function demonstrates that the printer is working properly. You can run the test with either continuous paper or single sheets; this describes the easier way, with single sheets.

* Make sure the printer is turned off and the paper-release lever is pushed back to the single-sheet position. Raise the paper guide upright.
* While holding down the LF/FF button, turn on the printer. The PAUSE light flashes.
* Slide the left edge guide until it locks in place at the guide mark. Next, adjust the right edge guide to match the width of your paper.
* Slide a sheet of paper down firmly between the edge guides until it meets resistance. The printer loads the sheet automatically.
* Press the PAUSE button. The printer begins printing the self test.
* To stop printing temporarily, press the PAUSE button.
* To end the self test, make sure the printer is not printing. Press LF/FF to eject the sheet; then turn off the printer.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
